Man, I dig the music of the 90s and all but there is some really good stuff out there nowadays if you look around. I'll just throw a few out off the top of my head. Check them out. Maybe one or two of them will strike your fancy. Or maybe not.
The Hold Steady The Avett Brothers Ghost The National Arcade Fire Cage the Elephant
There are plenty of other threads to discuss modern bands. I don't see the point of your post here.
AFGHAN WHIGS! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o8r5Xvz9CjE I think this is the only live video of this tune, for some reason they don't play this live now - shame, it's an absolute fucking belter! Anyway, they had a trio of masterpieces in the 90's.

I've been looking for this video but the name escaped me and all I can remember is that it pays homage to James Bond opening credits. MTV played this quite a bit around Christmas 96 and it disappeared shortly after. Thanks for the search.

Yeah, I'm getting old. My decades are running together! Sorry dude! Great band though, unfortunately for them when you think of alternative 80's bands from Georgia only one band comes to mind and it ain't them.
