That's very nice, but I hope beyond hope that those aren't the only dates. At least I can get down to Seattle if I HAVE to, but I really really wish they'd come up to Vancouver! I don't want to spend hundreds of dollars to see them.
They sure pared down their tour compared to the first time. I figure this is likely a response to the poor turn outs they had the last time in a lot of cities. I thought they'd handle it by booking more appropriate venues, but instead they just arranged a miniature tour.

I'm sure PJ hitting the road in April was the main reason.

I doubt it. They could fit a lot more dates in than 6 despite PJ touring more than a month later (and of course there has been no announcement for PJ dates in April anyhow ).

Plus service fees and taxes I assume? So what? Still around $30?
Been hearing about you wanting a rndm tour forever. Now there is one and you complain about ticket prices and the fact that they aren't coming to Vancouver? On a 6 show tour?
You've said you're more excited for a rndm album than Pearl Jam.
But a 3 hour drive and $30 is too much?
I guess they should have stopped in Vancouver for 12.50. That seems like what you wanted.
Can't we just be happy there is any type of tour at all?
I guess I am forgetting where I am...
Meow
I'm not complaining about ticket prices. I'm just talking about them. I'm not complaining about the tour either, for that matter. I'm just wishing they were coming to my town. It's not a 3 hour drive and $30 (which is cheap). It's a 4.5 hour drive and a stay over night in a hotel, food, etc. Actually I don't even have a car, so unless I recruit someone, it's a train ride down there. More $$. Might not even be able to go because of those expenses, which is just really disappointing for me, because yes, I am super pumped about this album. You are the last person who should be calling other people out for anything, ya big phony.
You keep calling me a phony because someone else said I was BBH? I am not. I've always been the same person. I said it before but it's all in your head. When I responded I said how I simply was toning it down because of the board police. I haven't changed, I'm not someone else, you can believe what you want to but you're not correct.
Anyway, I wasn't trying to argue. I was simply surprised because many time I have seen it said how you love them and how you would rather have that over pj.
I apologize if you felt you needed to explain yourself, you didn't. I didn't expect that.
You know (as do I) how much complaining happens here. So when I saw the tour I thought of you, and then straight away its complaints. $30 for a show ticket (17.50 actually) is very fair in 2015.
See you guys in NYC! Stoked RNDM is making more music. I really dug the show a couple years ago. They seemed to really gel well together. You could tell every member was truly enjoying.

4.5 hours to drive to seattle?!! You gotta get a friend with a car or just rent one for the day.
I live in Vancouver and go to lots of shows in Seattle on the cheap and also have Seahawks season tickets (but I have a car and nexus).
For shows, I drive down around around 3pm, drive takes 2.45 aprox hrs, eat, go to show, leave seattle around 11pm, drive home (far quicker) like 2 hrs 15mins, in bed by 1:30-2:00 am. Cost: ticket+gas+food...in this case less than $100.
Also you can rent cars to drive across boarder, so if that's the case, it may run you an extra $50.
Good luck!

Took the train from Vancouver to Seattle for the 2013 show. Was very relaxing. So much better than flying when time isn't an issue. I never use a train in the midwest.

I always hit the border and traffic in a car. Over 4 hours every time for me from home (have always gone by car - never took the train before, but it departs at 6:30am only. What's up with that?). But at any rate, it's not the actual travel disuading me at all. I don't mind travelling out of town, lol. I don't care about that. It's just about the expense of the hotel, etc etc. Spending all that just for one little concert isn't as easy a decision for me as it seems to be for others (not that I haven't done it before).

I hear you, even tough I usually drive back the same night, it's definitely a drain. For me the drain is more on energy than finances, as the next day at work is pretty tough on 4 hours sleep. But to me depending on the show, is definitely worth it.
I feel sorry for our brethren on Vancouver Island though. While its just one ferry to Seattle on the Clipper, I think its quite costly, time consuming, and you'd also definitely need a hotel. That would make it like a $500 trip for them!
i was out of town last time they played the Biltmore, so I'd really like to go this time around, but with my work schedule, this RNDM show is unfortunately not going to happen. Hoping they'll be on the bill at PJ25! ..or add more dates to the tour.
Anyways, I recall you passionately posting about RNDM in the past, so I really hope you're able to make your show in Seattle!

I usually do the clipper since I live in Victoria and it can get pricey. I'm going down in Febuary for Dr.Dog and with no hotel it was $103 usd round trip.Good price but now you have to add all the amenities.

Thank you! I am definitely passionate about this band! I do want to make it somehow, but I'm just not sure I can justify it. But at least the show is on a Friday. That should make it more doable for some people coming from the North. Even if I can't make it, I am still super stoked about the album!! It's going to be a long 4 months waiting for that.
