The reasons for not receiving employment within the RCMP are most certainly divulged to all municipal police detachments and vice versa.

In fact it is a standard resume question "Have you ever applied for policing employment in the last 5yrs", if so what were the results? (worded something like that)

I don't know how one can state is easier to gain employment with the RCMP - it is a pretty invasive process to go through.

Not sure how this has to do with the thread topic though.

Most people I know have never considered being an RC for that very reason (being sent to some shithole as you mentioned).

Fact: The RCMP offers greater pay and benefits.

Perception (by myself and others here if you have been following): The RCMP has the stronger reputation when compared to municipal departments.

Draw whatever conclusions you wish. I surmised mine.

RCMP is Federal and has detachments in all provinces and territories.
