Those faint glimpses of TOOL SHOWS that I recently perceived in the scrying mirror can now be considered official. Indeed, something wicked your way comes…THE UNPARALLELED SONIC AND VISUAL EXPERIENCE OF TOOL LIVE.
TICKETS FOR THE FOLLOWING SHOWS GO ON-SALE THIS FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 20th.
Wow that's even less of a "tour" than PJ tours the last couple years. I have never seen Tool; used to want to. Then saw most of their shows consist of 10-12 songs.
I did see Danny Carey sit in with Adrian Belew and his band a few years ago... pretty crazy.

go see tool whenever you can, it's insane how good they are......now with primus. it's a no brainer
why are people so concerned about amount of songs played? Yeah, tool shows are shorter than PJ, most other bands (outside of jambands are), but it's so intense (and each song is not 5 minutes long). Well worth the price of admission if you are a fan of the band.
Love tool. I've seen them about ten times. I've also seen A Perfect Circle. Biggest difference between the two is having Maynard down stage, front and center. That's where a singer should be. The whole standing-in-the-back-in-the-dark thing isn't doing for me anymore. Watch a Tool show from the 90's on YouTube and tell me I'm wrong.

That voice takes me there, regardless of where he stands.
Don't need to see him - or them. Can just listen with my eyes closed.

I saw them in '06 on the 10,000 Days tour and to say I was pissed when I left the arena is an understatement. Twelve songs. I don't even think they played 90 minutes. 3 songs from Aenema, 2 from Lateralus, and pretty much the entire 10K Days album. Not a god damn thing from Undertow. What a bullhsit fucking show. $70 for that shit. May as well just thrown it out my car window on the way there. I'd like to see them again and hope for a better show, but financially I don't know if I want to take the gamble.
It's strange to me...seen them three times over the last 10 - 12 years and there's no way I could say how many songs they played or how long on stage. Just didn't strike me as noticeable in any way compared to the experiences themselves.
All I know is each time was beautiful, emotional, powerful and dare I say, FUCKING AWESOME. Never felt gypped at all; in fact, I never do. Part of the beauty, I guess.

What she said...okay I could get off Hedonists nuts but she really knows her Tool.

Ha! Thank you, Frank.
Amid the current wasteland of shitty music, can't help when talent takes your head in its hands, shakes it a bit (or a lot) and gets you to listen.
On Reddit... I remember some guy making the best comment after they announced their last 'tour' and they were nowhere near his locale so he was to miss out:
How the f**k am I gonna ride the spiral to the end?
I'm just hoping they have a few more dates and one remotely close. I'd get on a plane and go to Vegas- someone speculated that. Seems reasonable.
It's actually a suburb of Memphis. Right across the border.
Ahhhh, gotcha, that makes sense. Sorry for my ignorance!

When I saw APC on the 13th step tour @ Louisville Gardens he started behind a round curatin during "Vanishing" and that lifed during "Pet" revealing some APC logo curtain in front of him for the rest I am pretty sure...(Lots of brain cells ago) I don`t care about seeing him, Danny Carey and Adam Jones are much more interesting...As far as the short shows, they don`t have 2-3 minute songs....They range from like 7-20 minutes. PJ also speeds their songs up on these long setlist shows...Tool adds shit.
