come join the madness... and don't forget to book your hotels!
Barely beat you to it lol
Are people really booking hotels based on these rumors?!
Yes there is enough evidence to support that shows are happening and booking a room with a free cancellation is no risk. Prices go up with higher demand, and hotel rates will increase.
Makes sense. And now I feel like I am behind the 8-ball
No don't think that. I realize booking early is a little nuts. I have a hotel in philly that I really like so I wanted to guarantee myself a room.
And all it would take was one person writing a list of cities!
Edit- I just think that the band members would know if they were about to announce a huge tour, and if Jeff knew nothing and said not to get your hopes up like a week ago to someone outside a coffee shop in WY, there's not much chance

I would normally agree with that. But I know for a fact that there is a hold for two shows at Barclays in May. Plus I heard the april 28/29 dates for philly before that list was released. It could possibly be someone taking all the rumors and just throwing a list together, but I want to believe its real.

Counter point, I doubt anyone in the band would rattle off some dates to anyone that came up to them prior to it being announced. Not saying it is true or not, I'd be surprised if they announced a spring tour this far out as well.

Seriously. I would not take what Jeff said seriously. Stock answer. IMO the only one I trust, who has been pretty much spot on with any rumor, is the Greek. What he says, usually goes.

Yep, I agree. Just think that Jeff woulda said something more like "well we've just started talking about some action down the road" or something. Instead he said they hadn't even talked. Of course he wouldn't rattle off dates or cities. Also in mike's interview recently he also said they hadn't even talked about anything yet tells me that we're all a bit premature on the hype.
Before anything begins to be discussed, the guys surely are informed or talking at least.
But what about the section at the bottom of the newsletter?
Yep, I would assume that means something or they wouldn't put it on there. I thought they always did that before a tour announcement too, but it's getting harder and harder to point to the way they used to do things and assume that it's the same now.
I have no idea, but in my mind I think they'll be announcing a tour for 2016 at some point. Not sure if those dates are anything more than rumor, but in the next few months we'll hear something.
A lot has changed with these guys compared to years ago, so I just take everything with a grain of salt nowadays. They're so merch heavy now, I wouldn't put it past them to put a note like that at the bottom of their newsletter for the next vault pre order or Benny re release or something too.
At the end of the day I trust the Greek. If he says buckle up here comes a tour then here it comes

Clearly they are planning to tour without Jeff this spring.

I'm going with: The newsletter was correct that there will be a tour, sometime in 2016. Jeff at the coffee shop purposely held back the info about next years tour. Some fan that knew all the rumors purposely made a plausible schedule and is trolling everyone. The real tour will be less number of shows and only the NY shows will line up with the dates posted.
