... but doesn't early March seem too early considering the more solid rumors of the Northeast in late April? Or, is it possible this is a large PJ25 tour that bucks the recent trend of 3 week legs?

In 2008 they played FL and NYC in a 3 week tour

I don't think the okeechobee rumor is true based on everything else. I believe the ft Lauderdale rumor is for early April. That fits with the other rumors. Okeechobee doesnt.

    Okeechobee is March 4, 5, 6. MSG is May 1, 2. That's too far of a gap.

Also... food for thought... I know they usually don't announce tours so far in advance in the US.. but maybe this time, since they are potentially playing the south, they want to maximize ticket sales by announcing and starting sales earlier

I think this 10/10 newsletter will be huge

They haven't played Lollapalooza since 07, so maybe they can return to that festival. I hope they do considering Lolla has been steadily declining since 2011-2012.

I read an interview Jeff gave where he said that after the South American tour they would begin 2016 with going back in the studio to start on making another record. I wouldnt expect a big tour until this time next year.

I think the band would have twenty studio albums by now if they followed through every time they said they were going to work on a record.

This whole tour thing could be a giant rumor but I don't put a lot of stock in a random quote from one band member. I'm still waiting for the EP that Mike promised us.

I don't think the Okeechobee Festival is a "legitimate" rumor. The original post about that said it was completely made up.

I heard a new rumor.... PJ will be playing the first Okeechobee festival in Florida March 4-6.

Basically I said it out loud and then I heard it. I trust me as why would I lie to myself.

Then I put it here on the internet and read it. So if I read it on the internet it must be true.

See you in the swamp. Don't forget the bug spray.

Toronto shows in 2011 were Sunday and Monday. Not MSG but still a major North American city.

  • Maybe they'll come back to NM after 16 years. Foo Fighters just played here after 15 years. Usually they are the ones who copy PJ on management and merch stuff, but hopefully it will be the other way around this time. :) Not expecting it though.

I also think they will go to Red Rocks for 3 nights at some point, but Denver was still recent on the PJ calendar... maybe 2017 for that one.

    in my opinion
    the big market large cities
have no problem filling up on weekdays
its the smaller cities that need the weekend shows

so far i've seen MSG for two shows in early May...

Philly @ Wells Fargo for two in late April...

    Okeechobee Festival March 4-6

Ft Lauderdale I think I saw?

North Florida I think I saw?

What else do we hear blowing in the wind out there?

It seems like Eddie goes out to scout future PJ locations on his solo tours... so Florida makes a lot of sense since he played multiple shows there recently... but doesn't early March seem too early considering the more solid rumors of the Northeast in late April? Or, is it possible this is a large PJ25 tour that bucks the recent trend of 3 week legs?

FL in march ... spring break for the little ones ... DISNEY ... send the kids home after the FL gigs ...head up the east coast with stops on the way to msg .. all makes sense to me :)
    Love is all you need.....

Count me as number 4 screaming HOUSTON!

People saying that Sunday/Monday at MSG seems odd needs to look at recent PJ tours. In a major market like NYC, where they are going to sell out now matter what day of the week they play, they have rarely played on Saturday night, as it's the most expensive rental night for a stadium.... gotta maximize that $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ when you only play 15-30 dates per year.

Florida in march doesn't sound so bad though... I told the wife after last year no way was I going during spring break again, but I can eat my words for the band... maybe I'll hold out a bit on dates... though the habs are in TB end of march...
Houston, Texas... Believe it or not, there are 7 million people here... must be a couple of fans who'd love to see you play.
