So if ten different dates are announced, you select the shows you would like to attend in order of preference. If you choose all ten, then are fortunate enough to be chosen for ALL ten, your card is charged for ten pairs of tickets....
For how many shows out of those ten might you normally be selected? Based on your experience? I can see why you need a credit card with a lot if open to buy on file....

    Thx

Assuming it's like last year, with the shows having GA seats and reserved seats - and with similar demand for everything....

This post is long-winded, but if it helps you understand a little better, it might be worth it. I wish I had understood the system better than I did last year.

You can take a few different strategies. The obvious is pick whatever you want the most as your first pick. If it's highly desired by others as well, this method does give you a chance at getting completely shut out, but also gives you a crack at what you want the most. Alternatively, you could use your first choice on something that isn't the highest in demand, and that might give you a close to certain chance of getting something at least.

For your 2nd pick, this is where I screwed up last year. You probably don't want to pick something high in demand. Because that will probably be sold out by people using it with the first pick. Everything satisfies first picks before it gives people who used lower picks a chance at it. So if something is likely to sell out, using your 2nd pick on it is probably wasting your 2nd pick.

What I did last year. First priority was Moline GA, 2nd Priority Molina Reserved, 3rd priority St. Louis Reserved, 4th St. Louis GA, 5th Milwaukee reserved, 6th Milwaukee GA.

Where I screwed up was picking Moline reserved 2nd. It was a waste of my 2nd pick choice, since Moline was the most coveted show of the tour, so it seemed to have sold out with people who picked Moline reserved with their first choice. I wasn't going to get that whether my Moline GA scored or not. I did get lucky and Moline GA did score for me. But since my St. Louis reserved was bumped back to my third choice, that missed out. And I heard a lot of people did get St. Louis reserved with their 2nd choice. I ended up overpaying for tickets to St. Louis via stubhub.

Yes you do have to prepare to buy everything you use as a choice, though you can only get one pair to each show. If you get a reserved or GA pair to something, and one of your later selections is the other selection to that same concert, you will not win it.

Also reserved seats are seated based on how old your 10 club account is. So there's a definite incentive to picking GA if you are a newish member. That was why I chose Moline GA as my first selection. My 10c membership is only 3 years old, and I would have had among the worst seats dished out. So I went GA.
I hope I said thank you for this excellent information! Thank you.
This is the advice I got on requesting shows.

for those who do multiple shows (more than 2) what is the best way to mark the requests? I'm thinking of doing Atlanta, Nashville, Columbia, Charlotte (if the rumored locales/ dates are correct). Is it better to choose all seating, or GA/Seat/GA/Seat for the 4, or a better combo of choices? My # is 190xxxx if that makes a difference.

    Thanks for any insight!

See the thread above where I had asked same question, almost.

I go for seats b/c I'm short and no interest in waiting for the rail. My number is decent and my bfs number is high so we go GA with his and seats with mine. No luck in GA yet btw for the last few tours.
Thank you fellow 10 clubber for saving my ass....again!!!

I think that will be the conventional wisdom and the odds of getting GA this time will be better. I think people will be too nervous to put in for GA and that will leave the door wide open. I'm all in for GA this tour

I believe that it would totally gut me to not be able to purchase PJ 10club tickets to a show that was located close to me...I'm just not a fan of the newer way to purchase 10club tickets..LOL I should quit reading all these rumor threads!!

I'm not a fan of the lottery system either (no control), but these are arena shows, so you can always purchase tickets. For prople who arent sure if they can make or afford the show, buying from TM makes much more sense than 10C.

  • So basically from what ive read on here, if someone with a 10c number of 529xxx tries for any tix in the lottery for one show, he is basically screwed because of said number. Thats so not cool....

Your number has nothing to do with whether you win the lottery. Only the location if you get reserved. With a number that high you should only put in for GA.

Not true at all. You have as good a shot as anyone at winning the lottery. But your seats may not be as good if you get reserved.

This is true, but its not worth it unless you have a low number due to the dreaded back of floor seats

Member number only matters when being assigned seat location. Lower numbers get better seats. That's all it matters.

You absolutely need to stagger your city location AND ticket location. Don't go "Atlanta seat, ATL GA, Nashville GA, Nashville seat." Pick something like "Atlanta Seat, Columbia GA, Charlotte Seat, Nashville GA, Atlanta GA, Columbia seat, Charlotte GA, Nashville seat."

Remember that if you don't get 10C tickets for a certain show, a lot of people will have extras. Even if you need two GA tickets, if you do the legwork, you can probably find two.

Worst case scenario, if you fail to win 10C seats, there's always TicketMaster... remember that even if you're in the building way in the back, someone else got shut out.

I have a very high number (joined when wrigley was announced), and have had floor behind GA reserved a couple of times. Would it be easy to trade with someone that has good reserved seats if I try for GA? I want a different experience for once, but do want 10C tickets just so I don't have to worry about trying in the public sale
