They aren't playing your backyard,
But a show at The Schott is sounding more and more likely!!
My place is already FULL too,
I've got people reserving my closet floor!!
Hearing good things from a few different sources!!!0 -
Friends are nice, but I always thought PJ negotiated that season ticket holders did not get first dibs.FoxyRedLa said:

Happy for Columbus if they get a show, but selfishly I wouldn't mind them hitting up some cities they haven't ever played or haven't played in a while so I can see some new places.

I would love for Columbus to get a show more than anything. Just find it hard to believe they wouldn't schedule Cleveland. And I don't think they would do both cities due to proximity.0

And I live in cleveland, so I would always prefer a show there, but I'll never complain about a 2 hour drive to Cbus2010: Cleveland

I concur in spades. Stagnant putrid smell with thieves and beggars everywhere. Not to mention Canada is an ISIS sympathizer. Americans shouldn't risk their live coming to Canada; even for something as compelling as a PJ tour date.polaris_x said:Toronto is a cess-pool. I live here. Tourists are constantly getting robbed. Also, don't think the US dollar is gonna get you great value here - in Toronto, US is exchanged at $2 to $1 rate ... meaning it will cost you $2 USD to get $1 CDN. Don't forget about the horrendous taxes up here also.
I think there is a new superbug making its rounds. All superbugs originate from Toronto. Hotels have bed bugs and it snows 11 months of the year.
Please do not visit Toronto for a show.I remember when, yeah. I swore I knew everything, oh yeah.0 -
Damn, Pittsburgh and Columbus??? 1.5 and 2.5 hours away... fuck yeah, not bad for a guy who lives in Amish country!! LolMonkey Driven, Call this Living?0

You guys should just build a wall on the border like in South Park to keep Americans from coming to your shows.

I had heard rumblings of a Columbus show over a month ago. So I called nationwide arena and they said they hadn't heard anything about a pj show. So I called the schott and they said they can't confirm anything yet but to keep checking their website. Pretty sure I mentioned this in this thread back then and a few people mocked me for it, saying it meant nothing.Summerfest 7/8/95

I called my Blue Jackets ticket rep and got the same answer. Didn't call the Schott but I like that the rumor might have some legitimacy.primussucks said:I had heard rumblings of a Columbus show over a month ago. US$ are not exchanged at 2 for 1. Why are you lying? People, don't listen to this poster or take them seriously.
Toronto also has the highest cases of Ebola globally.
The WHO highly recommends tourists not to visit Toronto for all of 2016.
And it snows all year making all available roads in and out of Toronto treacherous.

let's keep our fingers crossed it's a lock!!!
I posted this in this thread back on November 21st:
I've heard from a few other "sources" since then and it sounds like there is something in the works for a show at The Schott!!derbydave said:
We may just get our wish buddy...
I was shooting the Ohio State vs Michigan State football game tonight and since it was pouring down rain here in Columbus, we went back up to the pressbox for halftime to dry off and warm up a little.
When we jumped on the elevator to go upstairs, one of the redcoats noticed my Pearl Jam hat and said that they were in negotiations with PJ for a show in Columbus.
I asked if it would be at Nationwide Arena or The Schott and he said he wasn't sure which venue, BUT they were really trying to get them back in Columbus.
He also said they are hoping for a U2 show at The Shoe this year!!
Take it for what it's worth, but sounds like there MAY be something in the works for a Columbus show this year too!!'96: Seattle: Key Arena

And by "all available roads" obviously he means (to those not in the know) the Queen Elizabeth Way which is the only real highway to Toronto from most of civilization and that route is infamous for 2x2 meter potholes, cracks, that bridge you have go go under where all the trolls live, hot magma runoff from Hamilton's refineries, and wandering tauntauns and occasional wampa sightings in the colder months. It's just not a place you want to go man honestly trust mePJfanwillneverleave1 said:
