although, they would sell out Boardwalk Hall in 24 hours... and its old and has a ton of history... Phish loves the place... and PJ has never played there...
Problem with Saratoga is half the place can't even see the stage.
Problem with baseball stadiums is half the place can't see the stage. And sound is terrible. Sound is spectacular in an amphitheatre like Saratoga.
I'm not arguing the sound. The roof limits view of the stage. That is a fact. At least in a baseball stadium you literally can see the stage....no matter how far away it is you can still see it.
I saw 2 shows at Citifield. DMB, I was the last row dead across from the stage. The sound was awesome and that is one band that made you feel like the place was a lot smaller than it is.
Then I saw Foo Fighters and I was a lot closer. Near the side of the stage lower bowl. Didn't understand a word Dave said and sometimes it took me a while to understand what song they were actually playing.
So I am not a huge fan of the baseball stadium either. My point is Spac is a great place to see certain shows but PJ25 wouldn't get my vote there.
Thank you fellow 10 clubber for saving my ass....again!!!
The sound at Wrigley in '13 was good enough. (I was sitting near the steve bartman seats)
I was very surprised at how good the Foo Fighters sounded @ Fenway, I hope PJ sounds similarly good (saw Springsteen there a long time ago..... Sound sucked)
While it's my preference to see PJ in an arena over any other type of venue, I'll take a baseball stadium over a festival or football stadium all day every day.
So what s our guesses for between wrigley/Fenway? Hartford, NYC again, Albany, buffalo, Columbus, Cincinnati, Indy, Detroit then wrigley? Maybe some outdoor shows?
Some outdoor shows would be great. How about playing outdoors in Hartford a few days before Fenway. A trifecta that includes MSG#2 then outside Hartford and Finally Fenway!!! That would be my PJ25
That would have been incredible, but I dont think the HOB exists anymore. Im pretty sure The Showboat got demolished. I saw the Deftones there a few years ago and it was a great venue.

One of the best concerts I ever went too was Division Bell Tour, Pink Floyd in 1994ish in Three Rivers Stadium, Pgh, PA. I was sitting way up in Peanut Heaven. It was truly a memorable experience....then again so were the auditory enhancements I had ingested...
Been to plenty outdoor shows though and been far back with good sound....if you have the right sound crew, then your all set
