RUMOR: PEARL JAM TOUR ANNOUNCEMENT IMMINENT

Rumors have been circulating this past week that Pearl Jam is about to announce a spring 2016 North American tour, the band's first since late 2014. According to Alternative Nation, the band was set to unveil the trek on Friday (December 4th), but is now likely to do so on Monday (December 7th).

A list of rumored cities and dates for a spring 2016 Pearl Jam tour surfaced on the PearlJam.com forums in mid-October, but for now none of this is even remotely official.

Pearl Jam took a large chunk of 2015 off, although the band just did a short run through South America last month.
Guitarist Mike McCready explained a while back why he thinks Pearl Jam stays one of rock's most consistent live acts: "The sure-fire thing is just a confidence in our band, and I know that we've done that before and we'll do it again, because we are a really good, tight live band. And a lot of that is non-spoken because we've played together for so long. It's an interesting thing. I don't know if there's a sure-fire way of doing it, but I think we hit it pretty well most times we do it." :
April 8 - Fort Lauderdale, FL
    April 9 - Miami, FL April 11 - Tampa, FL April 13 - Jacksonville, FL April 15 - Atlanta, GA April 16 - Nashville, TN April 18 - Columbia, SC April 20 - Charlotte, NC April 21 - Raleigh, NC April 23 - Lexington, KY April 26 - Pittsburgh, PA April 28 - 29 - Philadelphia, PA May 1 - 2 - New York, NY May 5 - Buffalo, NY May 6 - Albany, NY or Hartford, CT May 8 - Quebec City, QC May 10 - Ottawa, ON May 11 - Montreal, QC May 13 - 14 - Toronto, ON"

Don't know if the source comes from the board... but hey that's some news we can get our hopes up to be an announcement tomorrow...

why the hell do websites post info without a source?!?!

I went ahead & booked rooms for Philly, NY & Hartford. I can cancel up to 24 hours before check in.......... If the rumored dates turn out to be false? Oh well.... I wasted 15 minutes booking rooms in 3 cities.

If the dates are correct, & I score tickets? I'm looking at a max 10 minute walk to each venue. (Unless it's Barclays)

    Time well spent IMO.

Now let's hope that he was told by the station to say that instead of him just googling Pearl Jam and seeing the rumored dates (or this thread)

True, although, the weekend is set to be a busy one around the time of the rumoured dates, with a few other events already going on. Getting in before prices explode without any cancellation fees does make good sense, the prices hotels were going for around Global citizen was ridiculous by all accounts

Hey guys, been going to shows since 96 but only have been a ten c member since this year. How does this lottery work, if you are new you have no chance of winning? And you can only buy 2 tickets is this correct? And I read something that you have to show your ID, so let's say if I would buy 2 GA for me and a friend that has been a member since forever and he wants to enter the lottery for some one else who wants seats and is a new member, so she has more chance. is this impossible because its not in her name? I hope you understand my questions lol

The point of a lottery is that it's equally random so doesn't matter if you joined yesterday for 20 years ago. You have the same chance as anyone else. Apparently the lottery favors those with a post code/zip code of the area they are playing in.

You only get a pair of tickets when you buy from 10c. You collect on the day with ID.

    Everything is here: http://www.pearljam.com/tenclub/tickets

Didn't know the prices spiked so much. Fair enough.
