I think if we can figure out when Bonnaroo and Jazz Fest announce their headliners, we will have the answer to when the PJ tour dates will be announced.

in 08, the PJ tour was announced a few weeks after Bonnaroo if I remember right. Have to let the festival sell tickets first. I'd expect the same if the tour dates are built around it.

As of a week ago it sounds like the spring tour is still a go. A certain dj in Philly said that the Philly dates at the end of April are still on. So expect spring dates announced this month and any summer dates probably not announced til march. Festivals announce on their own terms. Right now Bonnaroo probably doesn't even know when they will announce yet. It all depends on when they get everything finalized.

I'm going to guess Bonnaroo probably knows when they are announcing their lineup.

Hoping for this scenario........ The original rumored dates for Philly & NYC will work as a nice little birthday weekend road trip.
If Fenway was to happen this summer, and tickets were to go on sale the same day as the spring tour, that would complicate our show priorities for the lottery, so my perfect scenario would have some staggered on sale dates (first world problems, I know)
RE: Europe I find it funny that so many people are convinced there was a Euro tour set in stone, then canceled. Until the dates are official, nothing's official..... it's beyond me how a tour that never existed could be canceled.
Still hoping that the announcement will announce the ENTIRE year, not only the rumored spring tour.
I could see how maybe Bonnaroo could delay any possible summer dates until the festival announces their lineup first at a later time. But PJ could always announce the entire year not including Bonnaroo and any other festivals, and just announce those festivals at a later time.
Either way, I hope everything is announced all at once. Again, I'm not sure that will be feasible but I hope so. Especially if all of the "larger" type rumored of shows (PJ25, Soldier Field, MSG, Fenway, Wrigley, and maybe even Gorge) are true. Would certainly make it easier to score tickets for these shows if they were all included in the same lottery as the demand for these shows will be thru the roof.
A lot of people would also plan on traveling from great distances to attend these shows, so announcing all at once will also give people a chance to make the decision that they really want to go to first based on finances, schedules, logistics, etc as opposed to hand cuffing them to only one of those shows if not announced all at once.
But either way, we're just happy to finally getting some PJ dates soon!

Good point. The earliest we will get dates is likely when those two festivals announce headliners. That being said, we are only 3 months until the start of the rumoured tour, so the timeline is a little tighter than usual.

Where are the jazz fest rumors coming from? Is there as much confidence in that as bonaroo? Fiance's family always goes to jazzfest, last year was the first year we went. No one is going next year due to 3 family weddings. Would suck to miss the one year Pj plays it!
Still hoping that the announcement will announce the ENTIRE year, not only the rumored spring tour.

Can't say I disagree with this either....... It would probably be the best case scenario for fans looking to travel. It would be nice that everything is announced all at once so we can all plan our year accordingly..... I was being purely selfish and thinking 'best case scenario for me' so I could maximize my shows!
Your last line hit the nail in the head as far as my sentiments are concerned, I'll just be happy to see some US PJ dates announced. If I only get one show, I'll be a happy camper, and if I don't? I'll see them in 2017!

It seems like the last few years they are announcing the dates of the tour when they announce the festivals. I thought NOLA 2013 was that way. I believe ACL 2014 was announced at the same time as the other 2014 shows. Memory could br wrong though.

Also true, so it may just be with whatever is in the contract the Festival has them sign. All just speculation now.

Guess people don't want to get their hopes up for these rumoured US dates then. Not set in stone 'n all.

An announcement today would have been absolutely phenomenal. Would have easily taken ALL the pain out of being back at work following the holidays. Just crossing my fingers for next week.

I'm not counting on anything until an official announcement. Anything until then is only a rumor.
There's plenty of reason to expect some dates based on what we've heard, but until it's official, it's only a rumor (so I won't be holding my breath for any Wrigley or Fenway dates.... Or any others for that matter)

Exactly why I am not worried. Seems we have already seen announcements moved and such, I'm not banking on anything until it is official. Until then, plenty of other stuff in this world to do and worry about.

I'm banking on seeing Pearl Jam in 2016... the speculation of when and where is fun for me, I'm personally having a blast ... who worries about rock & roll?
Before Christmas I was so stoked, checked this a lot and was pumped Bc I thought dates were coming for sure
Now, I'm still excited to see PJ in 2016, but the hype has died down for me. We will get the dates when we get the dates...

Imagine if a tour announcement isn't made in January? That would suck so bad... and I think that would be a mistake... considering they were sending out reminders and tweets 3 months ago
BUT, I'm an optimist and firmly believe the Spring tour is still on and being announced very soon... and bonnaroo... and soldier field... and a Midwestern leg... and a Western leg...
If soldier field is legit that sale has to be coming soon, especially if there is any chance that it is 2 shows
