I think they go all out on this tour, hit as many cities as they can with multiple legs, have a big 25th somewhere to wrap it up and after that they take a break from touring for awhile
I think that may be the reason in the delay of announcing is because there is so many cities they have to cross t's and dot i's with, but of course that's my specualtion
40+ seems like a good number. With a break for a month or so around the halfway point, it can be done.

Quickly counting, it looks like in 2013 NA got 27 shows. I'll guess between 30 and 35 for 2016.
Even if the April/May leg gets 20?

They only played 62 shows from 2013-2014 worldwide and that included 2 nights at Bridge and they were supporting an album. Don't get me wrong, I hope they do, but I think this circular "journalism" where they read rumors from hopeful fans, report them, which makes fans think the media knows, is just creating unreasonable expectations.
Better find a hammer for my piggy bank. Sorry piggy.
Is there some sort of Google Doc or place where all of the rumor tour dates are located?

Where did you hear this? I think people are only speculating on those dates simply because James Taylor is playing june 30th and they know wrigley books their shows in bunches. I'm pretty confident that if wrigley happens it'll be in august.

Pearl Jam Coming To Oz? Pearl Jam might be close to confirming an Australian tour after dropping a suggestive Twitter update
On their official Twitter page Pearl Jam advised fans, "We will be announcing tour dates the first part of year."
The band have been doing some big shows in South America, while Peal Jam's manager Kelly Curtis admitted the band were in the studio writing new material.
“They are always in and out of the studio and constantly writing,” he said.
Next year will be the band's 25th anniversary.
The last time they were here was in 2014 for the Big Day Out.
Am I missing something? Where in that information does it suggest anything about Australia? Doesn't say it's not, doesn't hint it anywhere though.
