    What do you mean
"You people", from the northeast, the ones that think it is the center of the universe.

It's not what we think, it's what we can prove. :)
Maryland isn't in the northeast, but you can keep hoping..... :loser:

Agree that MSG trumps everywhere else in the Northeast. Biggest venue in the country in terms of prestige, arguably biggest in the world.

But...I do think there is a connection between the band and the cities that comes across clearer in Boston, Philly and Hartford than it does in NYC.

Love philly and Hartford but to me nothing compares to one show in msg. Haven't seen a show in Boston... Yet!

for shows that i attended the only thing that came close to the energy of MSG is The Spectrum in Philly... in north America... I haven't seen them outside of north america

but the best location has to be The Gorge, that place is unique and absolutely beautiful

there is only 2 places that I would get on a plane to see them at this point, unless it was a special event... Red Rocks & The Gorge... i've never seen red rocks, so that is near the top of the bucket list

Seriously, shows in Boston and Hartford suck, and Fenway is a dump so all you folks from other parts of the country/world, don't even bother trying to enter the lottery for anything in New England, you'll only be disappointed.
    This weekend we rock Portland

Pearl Jam Coming To Oz? Pearl Jam might be close to confirming an Australian tour after dropping a suggestive Twitter update

On their official Twitter page Pearl Jam advised fans, "We will be announcing tour dates the first part of year."

The band have been doing some big shows in South America, while Peal Jam's manager Kelly Curtis admitted the band were in the studio writing new material.

“They are always in and out of the studio and constantly writing,” he said.

Next year will be the band's 25th anniversary.

The last time they were here was in 2014 for the Big Day Out.

Been to MSG, Spectrum, and the Gorge... Gorge wins on venue but other two win on crowd. With that being said, it was like 100 degrees at the Gorge so we were just trying to stay alive lol.

So here is a rumor for the Midwest.

Yesterday morning I was picking up breakfast at General American Donut Company here in Indianapolis and the girl behind the counter comments on my PJ hoodie. She says they are going tour next year (which I already knew) and that they are playing Klipsch Music Center. Some of you will remember this as the place that was almost blown away by a tornado before the show in 2010. Anyway, she says she has a friend who works at the venue and told her PJ is coming this summer and they are just finalizing the date.

Again this is a rumor. Something I was told from someone who has a friend at the venue. So take this with a grain of salt.

  • I've heard some rumors about additional European shows during the latter-half of 2016. The next time they play in Ireland, I'll be there one way or another. It'd be the convergence of two things that I love -- Pearl Jam and Ireland at the same time!

    Care to elaborate?

  • Nothing tops the closing down of the Spectrum in Philly. 4 shows in 5 days, 100+ unique songs, final show 3.5 hours. Ridiculous energy for those shows!

P.S. - I've seen them at the Gorge ('05), Bonnaroo, MSG.

That run was insane. I loved 3 and 4 and if I could go back in time I'd do whatever possible to make 1 and 2 as well.

  • Hubba just told me he heard on the radio (101.1 WRIF) that Pearl Jam will announce a major tour in January in support of their 25th anniversary and there will be a Detroit show. The tour they said is gonna hit pretty much all 50 states. No idea where they got their info from or what station it was, but oh boy - that would be awesome!
