I wish they would announce before Friday. I am leaning towards skipping PJ next year (if the rumored cities solidify) and going to a Springsteen show instead. One of the last concerts I've never been to but always wanted to, never plays where I live. Tickets for his PHX show go on sale Friday though and they ain't cheap.
This thread is hilarious and the growth rate is astounding. I would be surprised if they announced a tour during the holiday time between Thanksgiving and Christmas. They just got back from a "tour." I hope I am wrong though! This is how it usually goes, there are rumors of dates, somebody's uncle knows somebody who knows somebody at a venue blah blah blah. Then 3-4 months before the shows there is an announcement.
Is there anybody out there who thinks these dates were completely made up and there was never a tour?
To clarify, I don't believe this, I'm just wondering who does.
Maybe a little
I think there's a tour but I have no idea where the dates came from.
Mansfield 6/30/08 - Wrigley Field 7/14/13 - Worcester I 10/15/13 - Global Citizen 9/26/15 - MSG II 5/2/16 - Fenway I 8/5/16 - Fenway II 8/7/16 - Fenway II 9/4/18 - LA I 5/6/22 - LA II 5/7/22 - MSG 9/11/22 - Nashville 9/16/22 - St. Paul I and II 8/31/23-9/2/23 - Napa 5/25/24 - MSG I 9/3/24 - MSG II 9/4/24
A lot of the venues in question would really be up in the air in April/May due to the NHL and NBA playoffs. Wouldn't surprise me at all if the complexity and uncertainty, and possibly these delays, are related to that.
It's pretty simple guys. If there's actually a tour then it'll be in the newsletter, which is due in the next week or two. It's not anything to do with a "delay"...it's probably right on schedule as far as they're concerned. Their job is to get it right, not to appease us crazy blood-thirsty fanatics (and I mean that as a compliment).

Bingo... there's no immediate urgency. I'd say it's even odds that any tour info would come out in a January newsletter as a December one. And with all these rumors aside, it would make sense to do it in January after the crazy holiday season and after they've had some down-time from the recent tour.

Um, a tour (or any real news) have never been announced in the newsletter. It's only reminders and merchandise.
And this wasnt just whispers from a friend of a friend. TM seating charts labeled Pearl Jam are legitimate. For those who haven't been around, radio stations and TM leakninfo way before 10C announces.

"No need to bash or question, just take it or leave it:
A couple of weeks ago I said on here that I was at Wells Fargo and was told PJ Philly dates were 4/28-29 with an announcement coming (around now). That was a sales rep, who also knew about the Bruce dates and announcement before last week.
After this insanity Friday and today, I put some pressure on a co-worker who is close with a higher up in Live Nation. From her - PJ announcement was supposed to be last week, then quickly postponed to today, which was then abruptly postponed until January (or later). She did not give any reasoning, and I'm not sure if she even had any, but this is what I got.
Bummed...I know, me too."
Postponed until January or later? Okie dokie. Then there's Ed's friend from Philly who said a Monday in January the tour will be announced.
Would of been great to secure / purchase Pearl Jam tickets before Christmas for their Spring Tour. Now everyone this season is gonna be receiving one of these cards ..
I just hope they announce Wrigley and Fenway at the same time of the East-coast tour.
Do you know what it's like to fall in the mud and get kicked... in the head... with an iron boot? Of course you don't, no one does. It never happens. Sorry, Ted, that's a dumb question... skip that.

Nice use of there, they're and their in a single paragraph, bravo!

I don't think so. Nothing would be that concrete for playoff teams until the end of the basketball and hockey seasons (march) or actually during the playoffs(April/may) from one week to the next. Arenas host concerts during playoffs. It's not their first rodeo. They know how to figure it out and book and offer any contingencies.

Honestly... 90 days notice of a tour for a traveling fan base full of adults with real jobs & responsibilities sucks just a little bit... I actually liked the idea of an earlier than normal announcement... but clearly they don't give a shit about that LOL
