ITB warns of fake Aerosmith and Pearl Jam email scam
Con artists have attempted to dupe promoters by posing as representatives of Aerosmith and Pearl Jam in a fake email scam.
Would-be fraudsters, claiming to be from International Talent Booking (ITB), sent out circulars saying they are representing and booking a Pearl Jam and Down tour for 2015, and more recently an Aerosmith and Down tour for 2016.
In response, ITB has issued a warning to promoters, urging them to disregard the emails, which claim to be from ITB agent Lucy Dickins. “They have stolen our logo and address from the internet and are posing as ITB to scam money off unsuspecting promoters, going to the extent of sending fake riders and contracts and attempting to collect deposits,” said the firm in a statement.
The agent for both Pearl Jam and Aerosmith is Rod MacSween, and for Down is Mike Dewdney, both at ITB.
Anyone who doubts the authenticity of an ITB communication can call the office on 0207 6376979 and ask for Diana in Rod MacSween’s office, while people who need to contact any ITB agent or enquire about their acts are advised to go to the company’s website, itb.co.uk.

Announcement has been moved back to Monday, January 11. This could have happened for multiple reasons which may include:
makes it easier to plan for nba/nhl cities... allows them to announce a huge 2016 all at once, which will help ease lottery pressure... and total speculation on my part, but Jazz Fest is in late April-early May and PJ is in the south around that time... and Jazz Fest announced its headliners last year on January 12
total speculation
As is this entire thread.......

Hahahahahaha. I wonder if those supposed dates are all the venues duped by a scam and there's no tour happening at all.
"Received this from my father-in-law today. He works for a radio station in NY - it was sent to him from an employee of Live Nation " Hi XXXX Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving weekend. One thing fairly certain is that we should see some spring 2017 dates in the eastern US to coincide with their RRHOF induction. I guess this belongs in the not yet started 2017 PJ Tour Rumors thread.
Anyway, I fail to see why they would be touring in Spring 2016 other than 1) they dont go a year without touring and 2) its an election year. Hopeful there is some kind of surprise record on tap, but I just don't see it.

The tour may not be still happening, but there was something brewing based on 10c saying to keep your memberships up to date. Twice. Still maybe happening.
