No Black..., NO Given to fly... 2 songs off of VS...,No Binaural... NO yellow ledbetter, whats up with that?? PJ missed 03 show, i guess i thought show would be longer and have a better set list. I mean you couldn't ask for a better crowd...
Im not being negative, it was an amazing show but i was just wonder why there was a lack for classics and rare songs in the set list also did seem short for a pj concert.....

You used butt in the completely wrong context. Very amusing. :)

Sure you could... the cincy crowd was LAME! Boston, NYC, Philly, D.C. and especially Pittsburgh were all better! Maybe that is why they got better shows!

Um... I think the 8 other shows I have been to this tour give me suitable experience to judge how the Cincy crowd was. So there is your proof. The real question Heidi... what are you basing your OPINION on?

Well, I think the 8 other shows I've seen this tour have given me a good basis for me to state that this Cinci crowd was amazing. Fuck the East Coast bias.

Disclaimer: Nothing against the East Coast, I enjoy shows there and the crowds are amazing. Moreso stating that this guy needs to grow up and realize that a Cinci crowd can be just as great even though it is a few hundred miles off of the ocean.

I really wanted to hear Given to Fly and my kid wanted to hear Yellow Ledbetter (she calls it Yellow Leopard - she's only 7) .. But, only being my 2nd show, I've heard a lot of their songs live now..

My 7 year old went crazy when she heard Betterman. She was dancing in the isle and someone else's kid grabbed her hand and they danced together. It was cool to see kids actually enjoying it.

Just because east coast shows were better, doesn't mean there is a bias. Pittsburgh (not east coast) was the best crowd this tour, per vedder himself. He said it was louder than NYC and Boston. Having been at all of those shows, I happen to agree. Trust me, I rarely agree with Vedder, he is a political retard.

Why would you think someone doesn't like a crowd because of where the show was located... are you 12? That's just stupid. I agree a Cincy crowd could be as good as ANY other city. It just wasn't. Plain and simple.

I was there last night, and Eddie never said Cincy was better than Pittsbugh. And even if he did, which he didn't... doesn't mean he wasn't just trying to please the crowd. I was at both shows, Pittsburgh was louder, it might have been the best sing along show I have ever been to. Neither show was as good as Boston, although Pitt was a little louder.

That's what you have turned it in to. Just because Cincy was your show, doesn't mean it was better. The best show of the Tour was in Boston. The loudest was Pittsburgh, it was slightly louder than Boston. Cincy just wasn't that good in comparrison. If you liked it great. Sounds like someone is still pissed their division rival won the super bowl!

But you have to remember that Camden was outside. I grew up near Philly, and I have no problem admitting NYC, Boston, and Pittsburgh were better than Camden... because I am a Pearl Jam fan, I'm not here to promote one city or another.

NYC - you mean East Rutherford??? I wasn't at Boston, but I've been to 15 shows and the crowd last night was one of the better ones I've come across. The crowds in Camden were great as well. No need to be knockin' the Natti. Wait til folks who weren't there buy the boot. I'd say they'd be a better judge than those of us biased by shows at which we were in attendance.

*Inside... outside... doesn't matter. Kind of a baseless argument, IMHO.

yeah your right, i'm looking at the set now and it kind of a weird blend

its light on classics, the only two real classics i notice are betterman and alive (corduroy could be considered a classic as well maybe)

but it doesnt have a whole lot of rare songs either (no lost dogs or rare covers, though leash is always a treat im sure)

the set seems comprised of new songs, and older songs that aren't played every show but always in regular tour rotation so they arent considered rare.

    kind of a akward mix
makes much more sense to live in the present tense

    9/28/05 Pittsburgh
    6/23/06 Pittsburgh
    8/2/07 Vic
    8/5/07 Lolla
    6/16/08 Columbia
    8/17/08 DC (EV Solo)

    Yep.
Also, I got used to having a mellower encore, and kept telling my friend (her first show) "it's coming, it's coming" and it never did. They only played one really slow song, long road. and then not even Ledbetter.

Having said that, I still had a spectacular time :)

You guys are all sooooo silly. WHATEVER! It was a great show...and to BE LIKE A LOT OF YOU...Let me say that I guess I am the expert as I've been to 14 shows in the last 10 months and have been to 53 since 1992. Last night rocked. Personally speaking...I LOVED The set list...Present Tense into Lukin? Long Road to open into Save You? It's a matter of preference and generally your opinion of that crowd is greatly based on where you sit.

I loved the crowd, the set list, the show and everything last night! I HAD AN INCREDIBLE TIME. Thanks to all the cool people I met...and those I already knew.

Also, I got Ed's list and a Mike pick.....

Ed played a lot of guitar last night, too...particularly a lot....

Who ever says anything negative about the cinncy crowd, is on CRACK. I've been to Hartford, Chicago, Detroit and both Philly shows on this tour. The Cinny crowd kicked the hell out of every other on. Plain and simple. Just drove 12 hours home, and have told many people the same thing before posting this here. I was very impressed cinncy!

I am not here to argue which crowd was better, i just simply said that i was shocked that the band didn't play longer with such an amped crowd... Eddie didn't even need to sing better man, because everyone in ciny was singin it... i just expected more i guess... especially since we missed 03... and the setlist still baffels me, just awkward i guess...
  • Oh, I forgot you are the authority on all things Pearl Jam and since you said that Boston was the best, then it shall be done. LOL. As I said before, opinions are like assholes. Your opinion doesn't make it a fact. Sorry. And nobody asked for your rude personal opinions to be shoved down their throat in every thread regarding Cincy. It's like you couldn't wait to put the show down for some weird personal reason. People had a really good time and were posting about how much they enjoyed themselves. So what if you think that Boston was waaaaaaaay better. We aren't talking about Boston or anywhere else, we are talking about Cincy. You seem to enjoy being a buzzkill. How sad. And Ed did say that. Listen to the boot my friend. ;) It's funny the tude you have taken on, like you are the defender of Pennsylvania and the east coast. Lighten up. ;)
