I totally understand Joe's comment about beating Trump up behind the gym. It obviously wasn't a literal statement, and I think even those who know that are still taking it too literally. I think the real meaning behind his comment is 100% spot on, and I think the terms he used to point it out are really very apt. The only thing I wish was that everyone wasn't so sensitive about these kinds of comments, knowing it's not meant literally.
I was thinking about this the other day. Trump is not to be reasoned with. Trump supporters are not to be reasoned with.

I would like to see on the first debate Biden come out and just suck or punch Trump right in the f****** jaw. Nothing more than some good old-fashioned knock-down drag-out politics. That's not a hyperbole or an analogy or anything. I want to see Joe Biden punch Donald Trump right in the nose.

Biden's support would go through the roof across the aisle.
And he is totally capable of that.  I can't wait....pull up some of his debates with Paul Ryan, sit back and relax.
well that WAS 8 years ago.
    oh ye of little faith
well he has had an adrenaline shot from this week.  I think we'll see something closer to the Joe we are familiar with.

Biden needs to stuff his face with jelly fish and concentrate on "fewer words" and shorter answers at the debates.

I just can't wait for tRump to mention "corruption" and Hunter Biden at a debate and the onslaught of corruption examples that Biden will respond with.

Of course that assumes tRump agrees to a debate.  I don't think he will.

Right? It's like the people who think he'll ignore subpoenas or refuse to release his taxes.

No, no, no. That's not what I'm saying. I just don't think he would want to miss a debate. For starters, he'll look like a total pussy, and secondly, I think he thinks he's a great debater and that he would make a fool out of his opponent. He revels in that sort of stuff.

Maybe. I also think he is a coward. But you might be right.

He IS a coward but he doesn't want to be perceived as one. Especially by his base. Even the Trumpiest Trump fan would have to lose a little respect if he refused to debate his opponent.

But in his head, he probably thinks a debate against Sleepy Joe or Crazy Bernie would be a good thing for him. What's Trump have to lose in a debate? He might get caught in a lie? He lies every moment of the day.

I wouldn't be surprised if Trump skipped 1 debate like he did last time. But to not do any, that isn't going to happen.

It happened in 1980. Jimmy Carter refused to be in the first two debates because there was Reagan and an independent, and he claimed that was too many people. Carter would go on to be annihilated by Reagan in the election.

There’s a good chance trump won’t debate. He’s already laid the groundwork about it being unfair. All he has to do is make up any excuse and his base will buy it. Trump’s mental decline means he can’t handle speaking in any detail about anything slightly complex off script. He’ll get demolished in a debate. I wish it was Warren though. She’d run laps around his feeble brain.

There may be even more ammo against the creepy hair-sniffer, Joe. He won’t win. Not the election and not a single debate.
