Anyone enjoy how Pearl Jam are the only ones not offering a meet and greet? Not saying I'm surprised, just amused.
"Here is how you do that: Show up early. I know. Difficult right? Wait… that’s not that hard. Get there between 12 and 2pm and you will have a chance to win one of the following:
● The ultimate VIP backstage experience ● A ticket upgrade to the VIP audience section (We'll be handing out least 60 of these!) ● Lots of meet and greets with Beyoncé, Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, Hugh Jackman or Stephen Colbert (We'll be handing out at least 50 of these!) ● Buckets of merchandise from the Festival"

I'm a little surprised at the buzz surrounding this show. it's going to be a standard by-the-numbers setlist. sure, any PJ show is a great one, but to travel for it, when you know it's going to be chock-full of the hits, and maybe a strange collaboration with a pop artist? are we all getting THAT desperate to see them?
Kinda surprised how many people have no interest in seeing any of the other acts at all.
I'm looking at this as an all day event, where I get to see PJ as the main event.
My can't-miss is Malala Yousafzai.
If we're lucky, we get a chance to see Pearl Jam every year or two, but who knows when this heroic young lady will be back in our neck of the woods?
I mean, for me personally, a lot of this show is gonna be 'once in a lifetime' kinda stuff. I'm obviously never gonna pay to see a solo Beyonce show, but I mean shit, if I already have a ticket for an event she's performing at (and ya gotta figure a shot of Jay-Z who I actually do like coming out as well) there is no way I'm not gonna want to see it, just to say I have at the minimum. Same goes for Coldplay who I actually have paid to see play their own show before. I am assuming there is gonna be some cool collaborations with the artists going on before PJ, and who knows what else too with everyone that is gonna be there.
Just odd to me that people have a ticket for what is basically the biggest event going on in the world at the time, and are passing like 75% of it up to just see PJ. What the hell else do ya got better to do the rest of the day?

Gathering from what I've read, stand in line for merch and get drunk.

It's a Pearl Jam show. They will play Pearl Jam songs. We like Pearl Jam. And it's the only one in the US.

It's Pearl Jan in Central Park. Definitely buzz worthy in my opinion.

i haven't really felt excited yet til watching that just now. maybe it's because i'm nervous and hate crowds and told myself i'd never do another festival after doing bamboozle in asbury park a few years ago but...PEARL JAM PEARL JAM PEARL JAM PEARL JAM!!!

Being the only us show is the reason why it s creating such a buzz. Trust me, if there was any other show in the lower 48 I d be skipping this one. I could care less about the other performers at global citizen. no way this is a "once in a lifetime show" for me with the exception of pj playing in central park (i'd actually prefer the garden any day of the week). seeing neil young jam with pj on rocking in the free world from the 7th row in toronto, 2011 was once in a lifetime!
