What an awesome show at Benaroya Hall tonight. You could tell he was really excited to play at home - and at Benaroya, regardless of the fact he mentioned it multiple times. Played a couple of new songs and a couple off Euphoria Mourning and a VERY cool version of "Fell On Black Days" - with a cellist! He joked that there might be 3 other guys that could play that in the room and the entire crowd leapt to their feet as he pointed out Matt, Kim, and Ben in the crowd. A couple of songs later Chris talked about the last time he played there at the Mad Season show and how much that meant to him and the community - and proceeded to introduce Mike McCready as a surprise guest on stage!!! Mike played lead guitar for "River of Deceit" and "Hunger Strike" (solo version with Chris singing only his parts). The whole crowd was electric - it was amazing. He covered Johnny Cash's version of "Rusty Cage" which was a cool touch. All in all he played damn near 3 hours all the way up till midnight - which is the curfew for shows in Seattle. So glad I was able to be a part of it!!!

Sounds like a great show last night. I hope he has some steam leftover for the Vancouver show tonight. I've been to hundreds of concerts and this will be my very first one that I've had front row tickets too (GA shows don't really count). Seems the random email telling list members that the onsale already started actually got fans some decent tickets.

Ames Bros. has a regular Benaroya Hall poster in a signed & numbered edition of 100 for $50.
and a "quartz metallic" Benaroya Hall poster in a signed & numbered edition of 50 for $100.
(good that that they numbered both editions).

Stone, Jeff, Barrett and Sean Kinney were also at Benaroya last. I was front row and got to chat with Stone briefly, mostly just to say thank you for everything.

Found: Soundgarden Hyde Park DVD (Thank you for the gift!)

Went the show in Vancouver last night. Pretty damn good! I love these acoustic shows. Chris' voice sounds great with acoustic songs.

I don't think so? Most of what I recognized I'd seen on setlists for the earlier shows (the prince cover, imagine, etc..).

We weren't going to go to Vancouver as we'd seen him play in Edmonton two tours ago and Victoria on the last tour. It ended up being how he ran his presale. They sent out this email to announce the tour and the presale tickets for fan members (fan members are just people who are on his email distribution list). Instead of giving time for everyone to figure out the code, the presales were live when I got the email. I was curious because 99.9% of the time the presale starts several days later at a specific time, not right away. Did a search and pulled up row 1 tickets. Bought them. I've never had row 1 to any concert. The only time I've been that close is for GA shows in my youth, and you spend so much time trying to keep your balance and avoid decapitation by crowd surfer that it's hard to take it all in :)

Glad I went. Next mission is to find good tickets to the Who now that the show has been postponed to May.
