nah to soon would be rushed. rather wait for something they put some real thought to.
Lol like the last couple records?? So were vs and Vitalogy and yield rushed? Not trying to be a dick but spending a lot of time on a record doesn't always translate to a better record.

Well on a three year cycle, we would already be about halfway there. And we have not heard a peep. Would love it if they could crank one out quickly and go against the 3 year trend. Outlook not looking good though.
I miss those days of a new album every year. But once bands or singers are around this long it's usually like this. With a few exceptions of course. But it's not like don't do anything in between
someone reported asking ED recently at the who thing at the VIP area if there was a new album likely soon. They reported back that there was a very simple reply given 'nope'.

not surprising, but still.... sigh
I just wish they would all get together for a couple weeks and bang one out instead of sending all these demos around and hoping that Ed will decide to sing over one. (not saying Ed is the hold up)
Wouldn't it be funny if the world ended in 2010, with lots of fire?

no, but they practically lived together back then. I don't think they've spent more time working, just longer gaps in between working times.
it's easier writing on a 15 hour tour busride than it is on a 90 minute red eye flight.

I think the gaps in between albums is just going to get longer and longer. that's generally the trend as bands get older. and one that this one has been following the past 10 years.

this year nop..next year will be busy with alot of projects..so 2017 is a good year to woirk for it and 2018 to release it

I think we'll see a "Lost Dogs II" before a "new" album
Unfortunately, I dont think well ever see a Lost Dogs II. That was a record company obligation, and those dont exist for PJ anymore.

Here is the cycle... After releasing an album and subsequent tour, they're off. Then they go "The days get short and the weather gets crappy in Seattle, so let's do a Southern Hemisphere tour". So they go to South America or Austrailia. This time South America, November 2015. Then, they are rehearsing, playing together and touring again. So they get the bug to go into the studio. Each member has accumulated a pile of demos in-between then and the previous tour. They go to the studio in Jan-June intermittenly. New album gets released before the holiday season. I would guess November 2016 if someone tried to pin me to a date.
Up here so high I start to shake, Up here so high the sky I scrape, I've no fear but for falling down, So look out below I am falling now, Falling down,...not staying down, Could’ve held me up, rather tear me down, Drown in the river
I hope that they allow some time for just jam sessions in the studio. I think when they allow themselves to just sit around and be creative they come up with some great things. I dont mind if everything isnt polished.
I really like Lightning Bolt, and there are some really great rock tracks on there, but I feel like I want to hear a bit more jammy type stuff.

That would help explain the total lack of b-sides the last decade

I can't even imagine how much work gets put into this Latin America tour...
A tour is a lot more than 5 guys with instruments deciding to stand on a stage for 3 hours
