I'm down for whatever. I'm just happy writing riffs and songs but would love for them to take full form with more of a band feel.  I don't really know anyone where I live and I'm home all the time so my music usually stops after I record my guitar parts. Would be fun to start up a project of some kind and actually release something or have a few fully realized songs at least.

I'm down for whatever. Anyone working on any new music they want to share? I'm hoping to get started on some new stuff soon. I've kept my classical guitar and notebook in my bedroom this fall, so I don't have to run downstairs to jot ideas down that swirl in my brain!

Oh you know, off and on for the last 21 years... I'm finally to the point where I can make decent quality recordings at home and I'm playing all the instruments at the moment so I'm figuring out midi drums on my keyboard and other midi stuff.

what an incredible song. wow. I'm blown away. for me, the best songs always evoke some type of imagery....I imagined this in a movie, where a man and a woman can't seem to get it right. She leaves town. The man is in a whiskey drenched bar, this song is being played by the band on stage to 12 drunks and one bartender who's been doing this way too fucking long. He finally gets up off his chair, lights a cigarette, and staggers out of the bar. He sees his woman standing across the street at a motel. She smiles at him. He smiles back. Her lip furls. He knows what that means. He walks towards her....and gets hit by a semi.

What I wrote about it when I released it:
I have been working on my upcoming solo album for a (very) long time, It's close to being done, but I wanted to do something different.

I had the idea this morning (7/16/22) to record a spontaneous EP on my iPhone and release it. I thought it would take a couple of days to come up with a few songs, but it took an hour or 2....after that, I kept recording the ideas, but will save them for later.

This EP is spontaneous...no edits, no overdubs, and very real. It was recorded in our kitchen here in KCMO, hence the name of the album. The intro is a little thing that I play on the Uke all the time...the rest were written today. Hope you all enjoy it!

Thanks. My cousin is coming over tonight to add some lead guitar work to the track. I'm excited about that because he is a pro touring/recording musician who has performed with the likes of BB King, Gary Clark Jr., and Jimmie Vaughan. Although his lane is primarily blues centric, he is also a great rock guitarist so I'm looking forward to seeing what he comes up with. I will post the results of that sessions once they're ready.

I think I'm finally going to build a PC to run Ableton Live and virtual instruments.  I think I have all of the hardware I need (or I need to buy a bigger house).  Time to record some shit.

I thought of going the Apple route, but every time I think about switching to Mac, I end up with a ridiculously priced Mac in my cart or a base machine at a premium price that has obvious shortcomings.  And Apple is always dangling that carrot about the next machine.  I usually go thru this exercise every 2-3 years and end up getting nothing. 

There is a DAW builder in Ohio (Purrrect Audio) that I will probably contact after the Thanksgiving break to see if they can help spec a system out for me.  Any advice?

It's great hearing some home made demos here. Here's my 2 cents worth. Sample of a few written and recorded during Spring 2020 during lock down. Used Audacity and headphones to mix so could be a lot better. I'm certainly no singer, but did my best with what I got!!
