people complaining on this particular sale that they didn’t have time or noice to purchase are just mad at themselves that they procrastinated.14.10.2000 Houston, 09.09.2006 Marseilles, 11.09.2006 Paris, 18.06.2007 London, 17.08.2009 Manchester, 18.08.2009 London, 22.06.2010 Dublin, 23.06.2010 Belfast, 25.06.2010 London0 -
Ordered within an hour of going on sale in UK. Went to go back for another a day later as an insurance policy for damage but changed my mind and see it is sold out on both sites. Unlike US site, UK was open to anyone. People could use multiple addresses and emails so no way of policing that unfortunately. Im sure lots have bought more than 1.

And I'm not judging or anything, but yeah, if I personally were the one who had to wait until the end of the month before I could scrape up the money to buy an album, I wouldn't be buying vinyl.... or concert tickets, for that matter. But hey, that's just me.
And also agree that this was a curveball by them. To keep vaults live for so long and then suddenly on this one, end the presale in a week is surprising and out of the norm. It was not an unreasonable assumption for members to think they had time and procrastinate.
Now if one were really thinking about it, the fact that this sale was "one per member" rather than "one per order" could lead to the (likely accurate) belief that this one is more limited than the previous ones. But of course they didn't limit NO Code. Maybe they recognized that mistake.
But at the end of the day, 10C had 2k (or whatever to sell) and they sold them. Communicating to the members that this one was more limited would lead to a faster sale, not more revenue. But it would have been better for them to be more clear. That always goes a long way.0 -

Ten club is allowing for non paying members to buy in item that is potentially limited from members who actually pay.As much as I try and understand the ten club I never will.Hopefully this gets addressed.09.11.98, 08.24.00, 08.25.00, 04.30.03, 07.08.03, 07.08.03, 09.15.05, 09.16.05, 09.19.05, 09.30.05, 10.01.05, 05.12.06, 05.13.06, 05.25.06, 05.27.06, 05.28.06, 06.01.06, 06.03.06, 06.19.08, 06.20.08, 06.22.08, 06.24.08, 06.25.08, 06.27.08, 06.28.08, 06.30.08, 07.01.08, 08.05.08, 08.07.08, 10.27.09, 10.30.09, 10.31.09, 05.18.10, 05.20.10, 05.21.10, 10.15.13, 10.18.13, 10,19,13, 9.23.15, 9.26.15, 04.28.16, 04.29.16, 05.01.16, 05.02.16, 05.06.22, 05.07.22, 09.14.220 -

I think the situation with vinyl these days is that everything new is limited, so if you really want it then buy straight away if you can afford to. Paying for stuff Im not going to get for 6 months is tough. I have about £500 tied up in preorders for records released well into next year. £220 or so for Smashing Pumpkins vaults etc.0 -
Well isn’t this a kick in the balls. I missed out buying the last vault release myself (thankfully a very kind member here helped me obtain it), and now I find out this was pulled from preorder before I could even remember it was available and order it. Come on. We deserve better in 2021.0

And of course, seem - from how this and things historically have been handled - to be impossible for Tenclub to follow.Post edited by Spiritual_Chaos on"Mostly I think that people react sensitively because they know you’ve got a point"0 -

In the end it seem no matter the band does there will be a segment of its fan base that are unhappy. You do an open order the vinyl takes forever to get to people they complain, you get an order in to get the vinyl out faster do preorders it sells out people complain. Everyone makes all these assumptions and gets upset when they aren't true. I know this might come off a littlie dickish but this fanbase really seems to expect the band to do a lot of handholding when it comes to basically everything.0 -
Can we be totally real and acknowledge that if they advertised this as super limited to what was already printed that it would’ve been gone in seconds to resellers and more people would be upset than are now. That is 100% what would’ve transpired.
