If he happened to arrive home at the time when the "second round" of stuff opened up, its entirely plausible.
There would still have been a huge demand on the second round even with people being locked out. Everyone else (USA) are getting delivery times for next week. Seems to be the only person who got it before all others have been shipped. Until picture are uploaded I still don't believe this.
