As to the song, not particularly but it brings back such strong memories of that time!
Do you think that - typically - the more adulation, the more overrated?0 -
Not always.

Perhaps.
Are your legs aching you this evening?2014: Cincinnati
2016: Lexington and Wrigley 10 -
No, thankfully ache-free and reveling in it.
(I hope yours feel better!)
Is it a bit eerie that our cats can sense when my husband gets off the elevator all the way down the hall to come home?0 -
Nope. Sensing a pattern. Waiting for one of their masters to come home. I think that's delightful!
Do any of your kitties have thumbs? (Polydactyl?)2014: Cincinnati

No, but years ago I adopted one who had them. Her name was Fiji, which we turned into Fudgy, which, after her personality developed, we turned into Fucky. I so loved her, but just a bad fit; she needed a better environment.
Badass paws though (and the organization was able to re-home her).
Is adopting an animal THE best way to go?0 -
Yes. I've never understood people who buy pets. I asked someone who was buying a dog once, she said that pets from shelters are dirty and diseased. So I figured only ignorant morons buy from breeders.

I think so.
We're letting our new-hire (my office-mate) go tomorrow and it's been weighing on me all day...knowing she's going to be out of a job, probably as a surprise to her. That I know before she does, and how shitty she's going to feel.
She just wasn't up to the par needed but I so feel for her.
So! Ever pulled a chickenshit move?
(I'm taking off early so I don't have to face her afterward when she gathers her things)0 -
I once had to fire someone because my boss was accusing a worker of stealing. I was to fire her for "stealing" money that I'm sure she didn't steal from another coworker. There was an intercom and I'm sure that she listened to the whole thing. I told her that I didn't want to fire her. I didn't believe that she did it. I sat there and cried with her. My boss was a heartless bitch and had absolutely no proof. I'm surprised that the girl didn't sue her. The boss never mentioned a thing about it to me. I think she knew not to go there.hedonist said:I think so.
