  • No, although it does have a certain amount of dramatic potential.

    Are you currently job-hunting?

No, thank goodness. It can be so stressful.

Is a bit of mindless trash TV on the agenda for the day?
  • hedonisthedonist Posts: 24,524
    "dramatic potential" =)
  • JogillJogill Posts: 4,549
    No

Does anyone know what dramatic potential is?
late PJ bloomer- what was I doing in the 90's that I didn't know who Pearl Jam was???
  • hedonisthedonist Posts: 24,524
In my mind, yes (for what it's worth, I was thinking of the Chinese Restaurant ep of Seinfeld and George lacking a buffer zone).

Have you ever taken food off of someone else's plate without asking?

  • JogillJogill Posts: 4,549
    Yes.

Have you ever had a massive fight with your boyfriend/girlfriend for doing that?
late PJ bloomer- what was I doing in the 90's that I didn't know who Pearl Jam was???
  • hedonisthedonist Posts: 24,524
No - food is something neither of us has a problem sharing. Even if no asking, always politeness :)

Is it weird to have never had a massive fight with your partner over many years together? Disagreements, sure, many heated and pouty ones too...but none of those no-holds-barred things?
  • No

Have you had a bigger argument with someone on the forum than with your other half?
  • hedonisthedonist Posts: 24,524
Not an argument per se, but have been sent some vitriolic and out-of-the-blue pm's from a handful of members over my time here. Never reported though; figured the anger was more about them than me.

Do you think that some words when spoken - or written - can't be taken back?
  • No

    Same question.
  • hedonisthedonist Posts: 24,524
    Yes.

I'm mindful of the whole sticks and stones thing, but words and their intent are valuable to me...sometimes on a par with actions, depending on their effect and repercussions.

    Matter of degrees, I guess.

Did you know that William H. Macy chose his particular name so he wouldn't be confused with Bill Macy?

    (and then there's Maude!)

    No

Have you ever turned to the back of a book to see how it ends?

Not since I was a kid, and even then, after the fact, felt disappointed that I went straight to instant gratification and deprived myself of the journey of the read.

Do you have a nice book-reading nook?

    (I need one)
  • ldent42ldent42 Posts: 7,859
No, I have a kindle that I won a few ago in a raffle.

Do you wear slippers in the house?

I meant a good spot for reading, but that'll do too :)

No (again not since I was a kid!) - prefer to barefoot it except for socks in the rare event it actually gets cold here.

    Do you own a snuggie?
  • No. What's wrong with a good, old fashioned blanket?

(and I have several cozy places to read in my house)

Have you had tea and scones anytime in the past year?

Yes (but I get my work done, and done well).

Is the sun still out where you are?
  • JogillJogill Posts: 4,549
Yes, actually i was just out in it for 30 mins doing some paperwork at work. Man is the sun hot here already and its only our first week of spring! Obviously I picked the wrong day to wear black and sit in the sun!

Does your employer provide lunch for you?
late PJ bloomer- what was I doing in the 90's that I didn't know who Pearl Jam was???
  • No. I've never worked anywhere that this happens; in fact, I can hardly believe it does.

Does your employer even provide hand soap and towels for you?

  • JogillJogill Posts: 4,549
Yes. We get TP, hand wash, hot air. In the kitchen we get tea, coffee and milk - there's even a pod coffee machine, they supply milk, you supply coffee pods.
On the issue of lunch, mine doesn't but my niece's job does. They are all given lunch, anything they want to order in and fridays they order in dinner for them as well!

Do you like the town/city you live in?
late PJ bloomer- what was I doing in the 90's that I didn't know who Pearl Jam was???

    Yes.

Los Angeles has its fair share of irritations but it's my home since birth. Life here is pretty good, and has been well-earned.

Anyone else here have another three-day weekend this week?
  • Yes. I'm taking off to Vancouver on Thursday afternoon to see Mark Knopfler. Will goof off on Friday and return home Saturday. Goofing off in Vancouver has lots of potential.

    Do you like Dire Straits?

Yes! Their music not only makes me nostalgic but is so GOOD, too.

I can imagine the fun to be had in Vancouver - one of my favorite places I've visited.

Have you been to Vancouver, WA?
  • JogillJogill Posts: 4,549
    Yes

Have you been to the Bahamas?
