    No. I would've had my dad's beautiful pocketwatch from the time he was young, had his wife not fucked over my sister and me.

    So much of what he (and we) valued from his time with us is gone. Still, I'd rather live with memories than mementos.

    I really did, Hedo. I needed to get away from this part of civilization and to just slow down. I needed to unplug and just sit and take in all of the nature. It did great things for my heart.

    My daughter is in school, so the first day of school is kind of. I consider September 1 as a firm date, though. Put the fall wreath up on the door this morning.

    Will you be enjoying yourself this weekend in a manner that would roll with something vacationy?
