    Yes, both literally and figuratively!

(former was a stroke of luck, no pun intended)

Have you ever listened to music / a voice, and just shaken your head at its beauty?

Oh man, I know and love that. Excellent call.

Just got through APC covering Joni's Fiddle and the Drum.

    Whew.

Happy I just took your song suggestion and am listening now? Well, more like hearing.

*edit - not sure if it's the second take but the other two's are in line. So very pretty.

Yes, it's definitely take 2. I've never heard anything prettier/more mesmerizing before or since. Of course you have to be in the right mood/frame of mind, just like anything else. But it means more to me than a number 1 hit or music video. Real music.

It was perfect on the mental and timing fronts, so thank you!

Is watching a bit of Beetlejuice a nice way to wrap up the evening?

Just don't say it three times in a row and you are good.

Been a long time since I've seen that movie.

    Exciting things today?

Yes, I do. It's every two weeks. This is my week, next week is my husband's week. Kind of nice that they go every other like that.

Should TWTMan have a pie waiting?

Nothing is currently scheduled, so probably not.

Yes. We have a trip planned involving lemonade, the Devo steps and trying to track down Natural Hunka Kaboom. Did you forget already?

Will SD be hanging out on the sex tarp with a tiny flask and a big keg for GC?

Umm, we'd better ask her. I didn't realize there was a sex tarp involved.

Have you gone on a road trip with a friend this summer (full disclosure - I did! To Spokane, too).

  • No, I went on a road trip to see a friend. I'm going on a road trip with my sister in a couple of months.

Have you spun round and round till you felt like you were going to hurl recently?

No. Haven't liked spinning since I was a young innocent :innocent:

Have you ever gotten your pet spinning while chasing a laser pointer?
  • SD48277SD48277 Posts: 12,243
No. I have a pet that does not respond to lasers.

Have not forgotten our road trip, which will also include cheesy tourist trap on Route 66.
If I can't get tickets for GCF, I'll be on the lawn (which may or may not have a sex tarp), flask in hand.

Do you have any interest in traveling to Cuba?

We must go see the largest ball of twine . . . stuff like that. Just a warning, Rt. 66 is quite a ways from my house. Just looked it up. I guess I was ignorant about Route 66 all along. From Chicago to LA. Chicago is still 5 1/2 hours out (if I drive, add at least an hour and a half if my FIL drives) and though I do have a place to crash there (Wilmette) it's a hot pot of crazy there (the SIL's house) so we'll just pitch a tent on some rich person's lawn or take over a pool house there.

Have you ever slept in your car?

No, fortunately...though many times as a kid when my sister and I would sleep in the back of our Chevy Nova hatchback on various family trips.

Have you ever heard Natalie Cole's version of Route 66?

    No, I don't believe I have.

Morning, SD! There's actually a Route 66 sign on the street where I work :)

often, yes! It's a great tune, and her voice is just...smooth. Much like her father's.

Would being on Cash Cab (if it's still even happening anymore) a blast?
