That's amazing. 21 year old American wearing the 10 shirt for one of the top clubs in the world.
Can't wait for USMNT to play again and all these young guys to start building some chemistry. Pulisic, McKennie, Reyna, Sargent, Miazga, Dest, Weah, Steffen....so many guys to be excited about that are playing in top leagues and not the trash MLS. It sounds like they may play a couple friendlies in Europe in the October or November international windows.
The fact that Barca and Bayern Munich were both trying to get this guy is crazy. De la Fuente has made a couple appearances with Barca as well....2 USMNT players currently there. Wild times.
Big weekend for our young Americans abroad. Dest came of the bench, Reyna started and had 3 assists, Chris Richards started for Bayern and had an assist.

That is a pretty damn good roster! They should always just take players from Europe and no one from the trash MLS. Sounds like Pulisic's injury isn't too bad...hopefully he'll be able to play in 1 of these 2 games. The Musah thing came out of nowhere....feel like I read plenty about prospects for USMNT and I can't remember ever hearing that name until the past couple days. That would be quite a coup to get a guy like that.
I still won't hold my breath on Musah. Playing in these friendlies does absolutely nothing to his status. And apparently he's eligible to play for the US because he was literally born here and that's it. His quote says that his mother was here on vacation when she went into labor. But hey, we can sell him on a much easier path to get a solid role with the 1st team so hopefully Greg can pull it off.

As he sat down for lunch, Weston McKennie slipped his cellphone out of his pocket and onto the chair in front of him, hiding it beneath his legs. He was breaking the rules — he and his Schalke teammates were strictly forbidden from taking their phones into the cafeteria — but he was prepared to take the risk. There are some calls you do not want to miss.
McKennie found himself glancing down every few seconds, checking his screen as surreptitiously as he could. Midway through his meal, it arrived. His screen lit up and his chair buzzed. McKennie grabbed his phone, stood and walked out of the room. “I was just like: ‘Sorry, I’ve got to take this,’” he said. You do not, after all, keep Andrea Pirlo waiting.
The last few months have been full of moments like that for McKennie, instances in which the surreal somehow feels quotidian. His career, and his prospects, have undergone the sort of whirlwind transformation that can be difficult to process: the rise is so dizzyingly rapid and the curve so precipitously steep that after a while, the scale and speed of the journey as a whole is difficult to gauge.
Yeah that didn't last very long. Amazing how unaware all these clubs were to how their fans would react to it. Soccer fans do not mess around.....saw that Chelsea fans were blocking the team bus from getting into the stadium yesterday. What a disaster.

All they saw were dollar signs. When the English FA came out and said that any player that participated in the Super League would have their work permit revoked, that killed any chance of this thing happening.

Yep once they started talking about players not being eligible for the Euros and World Cup, it was over. Players aren't going to jeopardize that for this money grab.
I'm a Juventus supporter and their club ownership has been a complete disgrace in this misadventure. Funny thing is they keep getting knocked out of the Champions League by clubs that aren't even invited to the "Super League".

Pretty fucking neat. Wish he played more today but he almost finished one and he tossed on a US hoodie once it was over. First of many trophies hopefully

Yeah it's pretty fucking wild. With so many guys playing at these top clubs right now, there's going to be a lot of trophies lifted by USMNT players in the next few years. Even this year it was something like 10-11 trophies lifted by USMNT guys with all the domestic cups across Europe.
Up and down first half. Reyna looked great but couldn’t convert his chances. Defense a little shaky and overall just look like a group that hasn’t played much together.

As close to "full strength" as the senior team has been in a long time.
That Dest goal was incredible. World class player.
