I think I'd be worried about my kid's personality if he did that.
Not really. Kids put everything and I mean EVERYTHING in their mouths. They are just developing their sense of scent based taste, and they want to "bite" everything. Totally normal phase.. hope the little guy didn't hurt the bird, though!
I've known a lot of kids, and I have NEVER met one who would bite an animal like that .... Even by that age, most kids have an understanding of "don't hurt the animal". "Gentle". Maybe this kid's parents just dropped the ball on that issue.
Very very possible. Also, I noticed, in watching again.. that the older kid holds back the younger kid's hand when he reaches for the bird.. with hands held, he then bites the poor bird.. I wonder if possibly the kid just didn't Like the feel of the bird walking i on him.. either way... that poor bird!
Yeah, I've had a pet bird for about 32 of my nearly 34 years on this Earth and it's never once dawned on me to bite my bird like that. Whether that's because my parents taught me how to treat animals or me not being psycho, well, I guess that's up for debate...

I'm betting on your parents teaching you to respect your pets.
I thought the same thing. But if you look at the other players they aren't even moving. My guess is a whistle was blown at the other end, and these 2 kids kept playing anyway and the coach over-reacted. Still a bad decision, but better than just stuffing them for no reason.

Heard an interview with the guy. Kid was going to shoot the ball in his own basket. Not in my house!
The worst of times..they don't phase me, even if I look and act really crazy.
