You don't gauge a fan by how much money they have?

Seriously ? Did I suggest you should?

Dude I totally read what you wrote and like I said I have zero problem with the way he is selling the set lists and applaud you going to pjcollectors.com as opposed to ebay. I find his reasoning to find a good home for these set lists a bit........deceptive? deceitful? I can't really put my finger on it.

Yeah Paul....you really fucked this one up. How dare you try and give us fans the opportunity to own these little pieces of history?!?

We'll never see another collection like this for sale in our lifetimes. i personally applaud the time and effort you put in to make this a reality for some.....

And I completely understand you not wanting to share things in the future if this is the 'thanks' you get.

Seriously....some people need to chill the fuck out.

Will the final price for each set list be posted publicly on PJC?

Probably would be helpful for managing people's expectations on future offerings and to help establish a going rate for items of this quality.

For what its worth... both Mike and Paul seem like first rate people. I doubt either intended to offend the other.

No you didn't! In my opinion the seller did when going to the auction. Like I said, water under the bridge and absolutely no disrespect you. And once again, hopefully everyone secures a set list they want.

Thanks for the kind words! I m sure if Paul and I sat down and had a beer together we d probably see each other s point in 30 seconds when talking face to face as opposed to a message board.

Ok, but I note there were no other solutions forthcoming?

I suggested auctions on being asked to value and price these. I believe they have started very cheap for what they are. I never set out to differentiate fans by how much money they have. I repeat - they are here to try to get them to the right people. But I now know ebay would have been better. There is a lot of appreciation here but the few that don't have destroyed me.

I am a guy who loves to please people, always have and always will, I consider it at times a character flaw.

Mike, you and I go back years, but we are poles apart on this one.

So I come here to see how this is going. I knew they were worth a bit, who was dreaming these were a couple of $100? - can only be people not up to speed with value of collectibles like these. So I opted out as I have holy grails I am after and I am waiting / hoping for some Aussie 95 ones. I hope the whingers haven't ruined that chance.

Anyway, I respect people's opinions. I just wanted to point out here the people that have helped me get started collecting the most are the one's that GIVE BACK the most. And Paul D and Dave (ElwayVedder) definitely give back, and then there is Scott that hooked up so many of us up with stickers on recent tour but got hounded on here at the time. Outstanding people. But it's these responses that put a lot of us off selling here. Too many attackers, sledgers etc

Anyways, this is just my view. Not contesting anyone here, not responding to any post.

Just thanking Paul D and others for bringing us these opportunities
