Ok, I have been chatting to the owner of these the last few days and he has asked me to instigate the sales and start them as 7 day auctions but well away from Ebay. He wants to keep this largely set aside for the collectors and dedicated fans rather than the casual buyer. There is some sentimental attachment to the items, and he wants to be sure they are going to good homes. That might sound a little crazy but I understand where he is coming from.

I am anxious to not breach the rules here or create unease by running an auction in these parts, and after checking this out last night as there will be a charity angle to the sale, it was decided it is best to post the auctions on an alternate site, to ensure the integrity of the rules here are observed and preserved. That is the right thing to do.

So the plan is to list the auctions to run from the trade/sell/buy page on Pjcollectors.com, and via the various facebook groups. If you know a friend interested or wish to spread the word to assist please do feel free.

For now the posting will be up shortly, and any questions please fire away.

I will post a link here shortly.

By going to pjc and facebook it gives all those who are anti facebook the chance to take part also, trying to keep this open to all.

anyone who doesn't have a pjc account and maybe doesn't really want to open one, can contact me also via email or PM here.

Hey Paul - will there be an image of the set lists for each auction? I'm more likely to bid freely if I know exactly what I'm bidding on. Thanks for coordinating!

Little bummed the nature of the sale changed to an auction but I don't begrudge the seller for handling the sale how he chooses. Good luck to everyone who participates.

Completely understand that but as there is so little to around this seemed the fairest way to all asking for a particular show.

I appreciate wholly however some may not be thrilled with the news

Agreed! I want one of these but was hoping for an outright cost. I don't want to get in an auction war. With that said, I am going to bail out.

    Thanks for the work Paul.

No no no the idea is to have people do miracles to check if they are really the best people in the world, maybe not miracles but at least some ultimate sacrifice to determinate if they are the right kind of people to own the setlist, so far even Jesus was rejected, so go figure what kind of good homes are expected for these setlist.

To be fair, it was the seller who wanted them to go to 'good homes' whilst at the same time wanting to sell them to the highest bidder.

Thanks Paul for brining them to our attention and giving us a shot at them. I will keep an eye on the auctions but will probably have no luck.

To be fair let s call a spade a spade. It has nothing to do with good homes. I ve seen pj 52 times, have hundreds of boots, tour posters, vinyl (like many of you) and my home wouldn't be good enough? It s all about making the most amount of money which I have no problem with.
And absolutely no disrespect to Paul, freaking awesome guy.

Sorry to have pissed anyone off here. Never my intention.

The next time I won't bother with any justification. I'll just post the details. This place never changes

Im not pissed, just wanted to make sure I don't miss the auctions. I dont have a pj collectors account. Thanks for the info and the link. Also, I don't blame the seller for having an auction. It would be very hard to pin down a price on these. I don't think you would find any type of sales history to go by with items like this. Lol.

Not at all dude. All cool

Let's face It in response to the obvious dissenters ....

This guy could easily have gone to ebay. But he chose not to whilst acknowledging he would likely get less in doing so so that the people here had a better chance.

Anyone expecting these to have been given away really needs to think again ....

I was happy that he said to take it to the dedicated fans rather than ebay, and at least everyone gets a shot. Who knows $400 offers might rule the day - then we are talking great deals .....
