Where would you put Eddie Vedder on a list of Top 20 Rock Lead Vocalists?

Are you saying Mike doesn’t deserve to be on that list? I personally think Mike is extremely underrated because of Ed (not Ed’s fault). Mike is a fucking amazing guitar player, if you think he only knows PJ songs you are very very mistaken. Dude creates music 

I’m absolutely saying that. His name sticks out like a sore thumb among those other players. Hell, I’d put him behind Stone. Composition and a unique voice on the instrument over other facets and that’s where he really falls behind the players who typically make this type of list.

mike's solo stuff is awesome. the songs he's written for PJ have been fantastic. I'm kind of shocked to hear anyone say he doesn't have a unique voice in the instrument; I always know it's Mike. he's above kirk, at least, on that list.

Typically make this type of list. Typically the average person says Nirvana is one of the greatest bands ever, so that must be true.  Typical consumers think Sutter Home is great wine, so is it? Mike outplays many guitar players, actually has since he started. I’m not a PJ homer, as a guitar player I think you underrate his skill level. He’s proven it not just with PJ, but with Mad Season, his numerous side projects and now he’s just creating scores for movies and tv. He’s a fucking legend, finally getting his due

Im not talking about the creators of the list. I’m talking about the players that are placed on the list. If he was the chief writer for PJ, he’d have a better case, but a smattering of PJ songs, TOTD and the Mad Season album is a pretty limited catalog when compared with others and other side projects doesn’t add much there, except for homers of specifics acts. 

I wouldn’t have Kirk Hammett anywhere near this list, but every one of those other players are the driving force in their bands and/or are massively influential

Skill level is definitely not lacking with Mike. When it comes down to it, I think he could play about anything those other players could do, besides the highly technical precise stuff. I think hes just lacking in material that really makes an impact on the guitar playing community and the public at large

My 2nd favorite vocalist would have to be Maynard James Keenan. 

It'll never happen but would be so cool if members of Pearl Jam & Tool released a kick ass compilation single.
