On the other hand, we have a bunch of posturing and blustery behavior (cold war) that, if people like you gulp it down, will keep the defense industries at full steam and make a profit for all the babies who suck at mama govs tits.
I am gulping down nothing. These are actual events. While you rail against the military industrial complex Putin tries to re-establish Russian hegemony over Europe. I'm sure the Ukrainians appreciate your movie recommendation.
Actual like the Mossad assignating Iranian scientists in OTHER countries? Real like the Mossad assignating that diplomat a couple years ago? You mean real like those events? What's the difference? Don't answer, I already know.
Turn off your tv
I don't understand your comparison. Please explain.
No it's ok, I wouldn't want you to call me anti-Semite or hitler or some other lame comment about me wanting people to wear yellow stars.
Not a problem badbrains. I was just hoping to understand why no matter what thread I am commenting on you always come back to me with a comment on Israel.
Because the government of Israel has no problem assassinating scientists, kill innocent civilians both women/children and you have no problem defending them. But yet when a fucktard who CLAIMS to be Muslim does anything remotely the same, you beat the war drums and rattle the sabers. I'm beginning to wonder if Netanyahu is a 10C member with the same initials as you.
I have never defended any of those things. Again that is you projecting on what you think I might be. It is dishonest. This is a discussion on Russia. Either add something intelligent on the subject or don't. Calling me Netanyahu just confirms my earlier posts.
What, that you're a war monger LIKE him. Ok.
Edit-yes u did defend those because that's what started this little back and forth between u and I all those months ago.
No. I criticized Israel and I criticized Hamas. You defended Hamas's right to slaughter Palestinians it saw as traitors. This was too difficult for you to handle. You claim to care about Muslims but you completely ignore their slaughter and subjugation as long as the ones who are doing the killing are fighting Israel in the process. This has been impossible for you to reconcile and I have been your troll target for having the audacity of pointing this out.
Hahahaha, story telling like your buddy. Yes u did defend Israel 100% and no it's not hard for me to handle anything. Especially anything you throw at me. Dude, I shit bigger then you, and I don't think you're a troll, just a war monger.
I like how Putin just straight out lies on camera with his shit eating grin cause he knows no one will fuck with him. He's the dude with five aces, not up his sleeve, but just sitting next to him on the table in plain view of everyone.

Why are we getting involved in this? Does Obama actually think that his calling for an independent investigation is going to answer any questions? Does anyone remember what came out of the investigation of the plane being shot out of the sky?

The plane crashed due to gravity. That is all. Case closed no,worries, comrade
BS your posts read more like Fox headlines with each topic. You most definitely ARE gulping down EVERYTHING thrown at you; all of the “brainwashing nonsense”, all the media hyperbole, stating the US government position (which is almost pure conjecture) as fact.
Murdering domestic opposition: no evidence presented indicating Putin....motive would indicate his opponents moreso than him. The Russian opposition, the Voice of America (State Department), Gorbachev, Al Jazeera, and anyone else with a brain have all gone on record almost immediately to say it would be stupid for Putin to have been involved in this. Nemtsov was a fading politician with little pull….to murder him just steps from the Kremlin would be asinine. There were, however, a couple reasons it would be a good setup – first, Nemtsov was involved in some borderline treasonous activities…he has literally flown to the US to discuss regime change options in Russia, with American think tanks and NGO’s. So, to the uninformed masses, there is a certain amount of plausibility in the Kremlin targeting him. Also, the timing of his assassination, just days before a protest was planned in Moscow, is ideal for Putin's critics...the protests got a lot more publicity after hyping Nemtsov as a martyr for Putin's opposition. Shooting down passenger jets: no evidence presented. There is more evidence of this being done by the west-aligned fascist Ukraine regime than by Russia. I’m not even going into detail here because you haven’t given me anything but a typical BS statement of fact with no support. Invading Ukraine: what? No evidence presented. There are a bunch of Ukraine government officials stating, on record, that Russia has zero troops in Ukraine. There was no invasion. Russia sent reinforcements to the traditionally Russian and Russian-speaking region of Crimea in order to protect it's Black Sea naval fleet, AFTER the people of the region voted overwhelmingly in favour of such action. Flying bombers to neighbouring airspace: I’ll give you this one…I can’t see any good reason for it, aside from cold-war posturing, of which both sides are guilty. Threatening use of tactical nukes: I won’t bother researching this one, because it's all hot air. US politicians use this threat every other week. Difference being, the US uses bunker-busters and DU rounds all the fucking time. Putin wants to break NATO: maybe. Does NATO want to encircle and isolate Russia? Without doubt. Have they actively been attempting to do so for decades? Yes. So who is the aggressor?
YOu are playing up cold war fear with this iron-curtain rhetoric. There are people playing a dangerous game in attempting regime change in Russia, and you are giving them carte blanche in their narrative - do you think critically about any news reports, or ever look outside the anglo press? That's rhetorical...I know you don't.

I've been busy studying the Russian language today to become better informed. Stay tuned.

Are you disputing the West alignment or the fascism? There is overwhelming evidence for both.
JP - I don't support Putin at all. He's got some downright archaic views on social issues, for sure. I'm just trying to counter the war drums, that's all. The same MO I have in regards to pretty much every foreign policy topic. Which inevitably gets me accused of support or sympathy for the devil du jour....I do spend a lot of time reading independent and eastern media to see how their viewpoints read in comparison to the media in the west....and 90% of the time, their news makes more sense than ours. 25-30 years ago that statement would have been completely outrageous. Not so much today. My main concern is that the US was caught red-handed admitting to having financed the coup in Ukraine, a border country with deep ties and huge importance to Russia, and still everyone in the West blames Putin for everything that goes wrong in the region. Is Russia to just lie down and accept every move the US / NATO make?

maybe a touch of my own hyperbole...I usually stay away from direct labels like that as they are pretty much impossible to nail down....but lets pretend that shoe doesn't fit. Then lets pretend you have a clue what you're talking about beyond soundbytes from network tv news, so you can try to counter some of the points I've made. Otherwise, you're just trolling.

What is there to counter? You clearly have a pro-Russian, anti-western world view. That is not something one can be argued out of. You feel that when it comes to disputes between NATO and Russia it is the Russians that are the aggreived party. You say you don't support Putin but you certainly have the Kremlin talking points down pat.

Pro Russian, anti-western worldview...yes, this thread clarifies a lot. Like the fact that your black and white thinking allows zero room for nuance. So don't counter anything. Back up your own claims. You haven't even tried. Why do you think Putin had mh-17 shot down, for starters?

I don't think Putin "had" MA-17 shot down. It was shot down by Russian-backed Ukrainian rebels using Russian surface to air missles. It was probably intended for a Ukrainian supply plane which rebels had targeted before. How is that for nuance? The point is that Russia is fully fomenting this war and has blood on their hands in that attack. For you to downplay this does a disservice to those poor souls who died on that plane.
The Russians had no such missiles in the region, nor did the rebels. They also had no training in these weapons systems. The Ukrainian government had the missiles and the training. Russia released satellite imagery showing Ukrainian fighters trailing the plane. Bullet holes were found in the fuselage near the cockpit. The U.S. refused to release any satellite imagery. There's more... It is not a cut and dry case. The evidence does not implicate Putin, and the fact that the story (like the nemtsov assassination), can be used to condemn Putin in the court of public opinion, makes the likelihood of Putin sponsorship minute. AND...you changed your tune when challenged. You originally said "Putin is currently murdering domestic opposition, shooting down passenger jets...'. Now it was the rebels, and it was an accident. But why bother stating your actual opinion when you can blow hot air and tell us to prepare for a new Cold War? Typical Fear monngering BS....
Oh, and....Russia is fomenting this war? For better or worse, they're protecting their regional interests. Can you say the same for the U.S., who spent 5 billion to overthrow a sovereign state thousands of miles from home? You realize the U.S. is in many ways acting in opposition to our euro allies on this topic, right?

So Ukrainian fighters and/or missiles did this to frame Russia? I feel like I'm taking crazy pills.
The separatists (Russian born commander Igor Girkin who lead Russian forces in the Chechnya offense) were bragging on social media about taking out a plane at the same time the Malaysian plane was shot down. Then they realized it was a passenger plane.
And what of the Putin arranged cease fire a week ago in the Ukraine with European leaders ? A cease fire that allowed separatists to capture a key town that is critical to rail lines because they never ceased fire?
A travashamockery. He just laughed it up mocking the Ukraine for not being able to defend against "farmers and miners".
Assassinating Nemtsov would be considered to make no sense for Putin, but I consider Putin to have gone into full megalomaniac mode. This appears to be a well coordinated hit carried out in the most public areas of Russia that should have multiple camera evidence . With what appears to have involved multiple teams of skilled operators.
If Ukraine operators were behind this, it should be pretty simple for Russian authorities to provide conclusive evidence. Yet early statements suggest cameras were not working. In the world leader of dash cams. Go figure.

He does that a lot. Back when gaza was being destroyed he defended the Israeli governments actions (which started this riff between us) then said he did no such thing and that he somehow called me out on some shit about Hamas killing their own people for, get this, TREASON. Something that EVERY fucken country does. And that I couldn't handle that.
