It would be just best if people could post their stuff and not have critics pop into threads, positive or negative, to give their 2 cents when they are not involved in either selling or buying the goods.
except that its fair game for flame when 10c members are listing shit for sale at eBay prices...
Why should Lost Dogs be the worst place to list your goods for sale? People should feel free to list at what ever the fuck they want, we are grown ups, nobody is forcing us to buy anything.

so then how do 10c members take care of each other? or does that even matter?

I don't know, send xmas cards to each other in the mail? I don't give a shit really, this isn't a daycare, people buying and selling don't need your wisdom every fucking day for things that are none of your business to begin with.

Find another 10C'r to sell you one for cost or twice cost, when the going price everywhere you look from Facebook, Ebay and EB is all going between $3 and $4 Bills...What makes you feel as if you are entitled to bust the balls of another 10C'r to sell it to you for cheaper and for them not to sell for its current value... :-?

It would be just best if people could post their stuff and not have critics pop into threads, positive or negative, to give their 2 cents when they are not involved in either selling or buying the goods. One guy lists his shit for $210 and gets shit on for some reason, and another person lists for $205 and gets his balls licked like he is the king of the Lost Dogs forum.
If you aren't involved in the transaction you really have no business responding in the thread. Nobody but the buyer and the seller can determine what is a good price. Nobody but the buyer and the seller have stakes in a trade or sale, so vouching for another person shouldn't happen either unless you are willing to take part in the stake if things go shitty. People are capable of making decisions on their own.
I totally agree..
I have a few that like to chim in on my pj vinyl sale post..
This forum is way down on traffic from a few years ago, its pretty obvious why.
I used to think that people here should try and hook each other up at cost etc, until I realised that that is generally a one way train. Too many times that happened and the item in question would be flipped elsewhere with someone else taking advantage of your generosity.
Of course its nice to help out friends, hook people up etc but then Im not sure I follow the logic we should be charity cases just because we like the same band.
So in this instance I would figure the OP (whom I admit I know and have a great deal of time for and consider a good friend - so yes I am going to be accused of being THAT guy who speaks up for someone in the 'cool gang') simply needs the money. Well in fact I know he does because the holy grail item he is acquiring is a stunner that will makes this AP surplus.
Whilst he is probably purposefully staying out of the debate to avoid the drama, I know the item he is to receive wasn't certain when the AP went up for sale. But now it is the AP would be wasted sat in his portfolio. Lets put it this way, He didn't buy this poster to flip, but to be able to upgrade it is an opportunity not to miss. For the guy miffed earlier in this thread, the OP was also at the show.
The price of the holy grail isn't cheap, so it is natural to try to offset that by trying to get market for the item that is effectively being 'upgraded'.
If the OP sold the poster here for cost is it ok for the new buyer to sell said poster 2 years later for the market rate?
Seems like a lot of people get hung up on how long someone holds an item before they sell it. It's like there's a magic time line where selling your item for triple the cost is either flipping or a brilliant investment depending on which side of the line you're standing on at the time of the sale.
As long as the seller didn't hoard multiple copies of the Moline print he should be free to sell, trade, or keep the print as he sees fit.

Do some of you call real estate agents to complain when you see homes being flipped? I know this is a crazy idea but if see a price you don't like, don't buy the item?
I think a lot of the negative remarks are from people who are jealous, envious or angry that they didn't get the merch in question. I have been angry and pissed many times that I missed something ... the Stone signed 7" for example... but its really not my place to get angry if someone wants to sell that item for $60 when they bought it for $10. If I want it bad enough I will pay the price.
the problem here, at least perception, is that the OP listed this at peak time of demand and insanity of the original print being sold out in less than a minute on this very site. I have no doubt that the OP is on the up and up, and that it probably is a crazy coincidence, but look at it from the point of view of prospective buyers; it could be perceived as taking supreme advantage of others' shitty situation.
and to those saying if you don't like it don't buy and don't comment: when I first joined this forum many years ago, I wasn't well versed in the market and what a fair price was for anything. so I actually appreciated when people would chime in and tell me if it was a good price or if it was a ripoff. No one complains when people chime in with "good price! great seller!". If you welcome that, you have to welcome the other. for better or worse, that's part of the market.

Eh... I don't think anyone has a real problem with a politely worded post stating that an item is overpriced. The issue is with the same people coming out of the woodwork in every thread with personal insults and soap box rants about materialism and flippers.

Threads like these will destroy this forum. And I'm not talking about the OP.
I will never sell here, I'm sure others will see this and won't want to.
These are your options as a seller:
1.) list at market or just below market value and get accused of being a flipper and face the price police.
2.) list well below market and be a charity for the whiners.
You didn't get the poster, get over it. You don't wanna pay what others pay, don't, but don't cry about it.
Just cause you went to a show doesn't give you divine right to all the merch from the show at it's original price.
Grow up.
Really well said. The fact he had to close this thread is sad. Nobody is forcing anyone to buy anything, either buy it or don't but don't bitch people out for their asking price or question them as a fan.
It would be just best if people could post their stuff and not have critics pop into threads, positive or negative, to give their 2 cents when they are not involved in either selling or buying the goods. People can say whatever they want and hide behind their computers while they do it. That's how things are now, so deal with it. I own 2 restaurants and put my heart and soul into them- do you think I'm happy when some assfuck posts a yelp review that is total bullshit? Of course not- but it's his or her right. If you're selling vinyl for a profit like you are in your ridiculous vinyl garage sale over there, and getting callus over the 3% paypal charge added to sellers therefore making people use money orders instead to buy your overpriced crap so god forbid you don't lose a dime in your transaction it's obvious you're trying to make a profit- and people have a right to call you out on it.
This is an exchange forum here in LD. Ebay is a sellers game for profit. If you want to make money, go to ebay and sell. Don't be trying to rip off people in LD- it just shows you're a douche and not a fan.

Nope. Usually about 3x the cost. Cogs in a brick/mortar restaurant include labor, utilities, fixed and variable costs and market fluctuation is included as well.

But the point of my post is that people can say whatever they want. That's the purpose of a forum. If someone wants to try to make a profit they have every right to do so, but the verbal and written attacks should be welcomed and expected. There's nothing wrong with people speaking their minds when someone is trying to screw someone else over.

"market fluctuation" sounds a lot like "ripping people off". You don't complain when people choose to eat in your restaurant, even though you are "ripping them off".

I'm guessing from your post that the food in your restaurants is sold at cost?
you are equating making a living (profit is required) to selling personal merchandise. not QUITE the same thing. unfortunately, some think it is.

All this dude stated was that he was trying to sell for money to get his holy grail which costs more. Honesty about his intentions to do with his profits. Who cares about it. He could have not said anything about it and just listed his price. Buy it or don't. Move on. Next forum topic please...

I have a few that like to chim in on my pj vinyl sale post..
I know this is a crazy idea but if see a price you don't like, don't buy the item?
and to those saying if you don't like it don't buy and don't comment: when I first joined this forum many years ago, I wasn't well versed in the market and what a fair price was for anything. so I actually appreciated when people would chime in and tell me if it was a good price or if it was a ripoff. No one complains when people chime in with "good price! great seller!". If you welcome that, you have to welcome the other. for better or worse, that's part of the market.

Nope. Usually about 3x the cost. Cogs in a brick/mortar restaurant include labor, utilities, fixed and variable costs and market fluctuation is included as well.
Edit-
But the point of my post is that people can say whatever they want. That's the purpose of a forum. If someone wants to try to make a profit they have every right to do so, but the verbal and written attacks should be welcomed and expected. There's nothing wrong with people speaking their minds when someone is trying to screw someone else over.

If people have a right to make a profit (as you state) why would there be a need for attacks?

"market fluctuation" sounds a lot like "ripping people off". You don't complain when people choose to eat in your restaurant, even though you are "ripping them off".
