Lets' be fair here, it's obviously the customers. I don't think Build a Bear would think people would act like that to save $20.
It's not a few bucks. If you let your kids pick whatever they want, it ends up costing an average of about $75 bucks give or take. It's worthit for a once in a lifetime keepsake for a kid and for people who can't normally even afford to think about taking their kid to get one, it was well worth standing in line for. They should have noted to the first 100 or whatever in line for the ad. The right thing to have done was to take the names of everyone that stood in line waiting when they finally decided to shut it down to honor it since they advertised it and so many people waited. It's false advertisement if it wasn't honored.
this right here is a parenting fail: "if you let your kids pick whatever they want".
I teach my kids that if we can't afford something, you simply don't get it. case closed. I have told them about boxing day/black friday sales and what people do and how they behave all in the name of greed. they think that is bizarre behaviour.

$20, $75... I don't see the difference. How is $75 worth that?? And the way they were behaving, causing safety issues! Bunch of idiots! How about they spend $10 at the craft store and help their kid make a fun keepsake at home instead of forcing their kids to stand in line all day with a bunch of stupid angry cheap people?
Agreed in full. You make your call sometimes.
Whenever we see a line like that... and we are not committed to it from necessity... there's not a chance in Hell we're waiting in it. I won't even waste my time at Costco for gas to save 2-5 cents per liter.
$20? To endure that? I'd rather poke pins in my eyeballs.
When your kid asks for something you try. It's like telling a Pearl Jam fan they shouldn't f5 for tickets for hours or tell them not to waste their time standing in line for a few hours to get the poster they want for the one and only show they'll ever be able to afford to go to. For some that have a lot of money to throw around they may not be able to see it from the same point of view.
we are a family with not very much money. stuff doesn't make the experience. the experience makes the experience.

We've all got the idiot gene.
To be fair... and it's likely something to do with my maleness... I exercise my idiocy more than she does. I simply can't help myself sometimes. A guy just needs to be a freaking idiot sometimes. It's like resetting yourself.
you two were just getting into since I was off internet for a few weeks. Thank for covering for me, Del! (although, I completely agree with Allie here)

Hint to car thieves - when you steal a car, don't fall asleep in it when it's parked with the door open on a city street. In particular, best not to fall asleep while you are surrounded by other stolen items including stolen ID, break-in tools, and drugs.

American Airlines flight diverted because passenger wouldn't stop performing pull-ups on the overhead bin
It’s a good thing the passenger getting his swoll on during a flight from Phoenix to Boston didn’t ask anyone if they wanted to see the “gun show,” otherwise there may have been charges filed.
An American Airlines flight from Phoenix to Boston was diverted to Kansas City, Mo., due to “an unruly passenger [Monday] night,” Ross Feinstein, the senior manager of corporate communications at American Airlines, tells Yahoo Lifestyle. He added that the “passenger was removed by law enforcement, and [the] flight re-departed” from the airport, arriving in Boston 90 minutes late on Tuesday morning.
David Markoski, who was on board American Airlines Flight 2763, told local Boston news station WBZ-TV that the unruly passenger was a man who appeared to be intoxicated. Markoski said the man in question boarded the plane with a woman and two dogs and insisted on performing pull-ups on the overhead bins.
“He was leaning up against where you put the bags overhead, and a passenger came by and said, ‘What are you going to do, some pull-ups?’ and the guy actually grabbed on to it and started doing some pull-ups on the plane in front of everybody,” Markoski said.
Markoski also said that the man, whose identity has not been made public, ordered beer and alcohol on the flight before things took a turn for the worse.
Perhaps hoping to prove that his fitness is on the level of #CantStop #WontStop, the man refused to quit doing pull-ups, until he finally reached his #FitnessGoal. “He would not sit down. The flight attendant probably asked him about three or four times to sit down, and he refused to sit down, and then he really got verbally abusive with her, starting calling her names,“ Markoski said.
The flight was forced to land in Kansas City, and the man was escorted off the plane by law enforcement officials. FBI agents were at the gate to interview the passenger, but no one was taken into custody or charged.
Fly budget airlines and you bear the consequence. Sometimes it's a racist old english dude. Sometimes it a person that hasn't showered and wants to clip their toenails. Sometimes it's a super drunk couple that smells like Marlboros and sneaked 73 mini bottles of fireball whiskey on with them. Your odds of a peaceful trip are the same of making it through town during rush hour and timing all the stoplights correctly.
You may save $150 but will most likely end up sitting next to someone that looks and smells like Yoda.

I think this particular incident surpasses what you're talking about. The main problem is how the airline handled what I would call one passenger actually abusing another passenger, and then protecting the abuser instead of the abused.
With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. ~ Desiderata
That woman should sue that airline for everything she can get. The fact that they moved her and not him is revolting.
I agree they should have moved him. But this is one of the biggest problems we have...Sue the airline? Really? If they literally did nothing and put her at risk then I’d agree. But this in nonsense.

In my ideal world, a passenger sitting near this debacle should have been within his legal rights to slap the shithead upside the head without repercussion. Then swap seats with the lady and warn the shithead that if he nudges him at all for the remainder of the flight... he gets a noogey.
Man defends dressing 5-year-old son as Hitler for Halloween: 'We love history'
A Kentucky man who wore a Nazi costume and dressed his 5-year-old as Adolf Hitler for a local Halloween event is defending the anti-Semitic outfits by calling himself a history buff.
Bryant Goldbach of Owensboro, Ky., posted a Facebook photo of himself dressed as a member of Hitler’s Schutzstaffel, or SS, his young son dressed as Hitler, wearing a fake mustache and a blazer adorned with swastikas, and his daughter (who wore a fairy costume).
The photo was taken Thursday in downtown Owensboro at an annual event called “Trail of Treats,” during which children trick-or-treated at local businesses. The family costume understandably offended many attendees, and afterward, Goldbach shared his indignation in a Facebook post that has since been deleted.
“Anyone who knows us knows that we love history, and often dress the part of historical figures,” he wrote in a post. “Tonight as we walked we saw people dressed as murderers, devils, serial killers, blood and gore of all sorts. Nobody batted an eye. But my little and I, dress as historical figures, and it merits people not only making snide remarks, but approaching us and threatening my little 5 year old boy.”
Goldbach continued, “That’s right. Tonight grown adults threatened a child over his costume. Threatened his mom and dad as well. Threatened to rip his outfit off of him screaming obscenities, scareing a small child. First off, its none of your business. Second, how dare you! I mean How dare you threaten a child. Me, its one thing, but my child? You are messing with fire.”
The father is getting publicly shamed as a “child abuser,” “racist,” and “coward” on Facebook, Reddit, and Twitter.
Goldbach did not return Yahoo Lifestyle’s request for comment.

McDonald had an artist paint him in his tennis whites and looking really cool so that he could put the painting of himself up in his house to admire.
