^^^ I have received that message so many times. It always takes them the same ridiculous amount of time to admit they should never have posted the item in the first place. It's really stupid.
With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. ~ Desiderata
I got the amazon.ca email too. Luckily I had a hunch (which is pretty easy to have when you knew black pressing was only 400) and found an alternate source when it first came out. I guess Amazon likes to wait a while before they give up and cancel it.

"Contact your local record store. Have them search for Vinyl Films Records 10" Box. Ask them if they deal with the distributor Think Indie."
I contacted my local record store and they said they don't deal with Think Indie but they were sure they could place an order but it will cost them a lot to order just 1 box set from USA with the currency & customs.
PS .. if you see a pre order with Amazon online DO NOT place an order cause your order will not be fulfilled.
Vinyl Films has the right idea on this one. Pair something Pearl Jam related with a bunch of music no one knows anything about and you're guaranteed a quick sell.
Don't kid yourself, this boxset would sell out extremely fast even without the PJ connection. I think you'd be surprised how fast Mark Kozelek/Sun Kil moon records sell out. And Mono, Low, and Eluvium are all also very good bands with a dedicated fan base. VF knows what is up. This is an amazing box I've personally been waiting for for years.

Couldn't agree MORE... Mark Kozelek is AWESOME!! Really got into his music back in the Red House Painter days!!

Sun Kil Moon/Mark Kozelek would be the most accessible of the lot followed by Low. Like PJ, Mark is a longtime friend of Cameron Crowe and has been in a couple of his films. Mono makes some beautiful and sometime heavy instrumental songs. Eluvium makes ambient music. But check out "Ghosts of The Great Highway" or "April" by Sun Kil Moon. Two classics in my opinion. Although his newest album Benji has some of the highest reviews he's ever had but it's not really my cup of tea.
Anyone checked with their local store if they are getting stock yet ?
asked local store - they do order through think indie, but said they hadn't yet seen info on this show up. he did say that if the release date is april/may, he's only seen releases through late march on his recent think indie orders. so, take that for what it's worth- quite possible it's not available to order yet.

Mine said almost the same thing.
Good to know... maybe I'll wait a few weeks to call my record store & ask them to order one for me!

"Love seeing boxes and more boxes of glorious clear vinyl of these six records. Let the box assembly begin!"
"The painstaking task of number-drying, plus a close-up of the spot-gloss on the box...."
