I think that because I have such a strong desire to see people free my opinions of police that violate civil rights are very intense. I do not advocate violence as an initial act from either side. That said, if any person's life were in danger I would support their right to defend themselves.

I can't stand people making excuses for police that commit these acts. I feel it is a dangerous path to go down.

This situation is exactly what I am calling it in the other thread. Laws that are written that create a victim where there previously was not one and those that violate the civil rights of an individual are irresponsible and immoral. I'm not going to shut up about it, despite the reactions given by some on this forum. They know nothing of what I do to protest this. I am certainly more than a PJ forum keyboard commando.

There's no excuse for making such a comment and I wasn't defending the comment- it was a poor one to make... no question.

I took exception to the cheap shot Hedonist fired at teachers when she said she'd bet teachers were making the same comments. It wasn't necessary. It implies male teachers are leering perverts and shows serious disrespect.

Not to excuse for sure. but lets be real here.
wrong though the act may be , then argument can be reasonably made that comments like that were said in order to "fit in" with a teeneage male set.
