That's awesome man. I was another one of the "losers" that was standing in front waiting to see if they would let anyone else in after show start. I left at about 10. I thought about staying to see if the band came out later, but I was already way to tired from being in the sun for 6.5 hrs. Had to work today too.

What an awesome experience :) As a fan, it does the heart good to hear these types of stories from others fans - just makes the world seem right :D Thanks for sharing the stories and photos...you must be one nice guy to get that kind of karma. See now, if you would have had tickets, this experience would not have happened ;)

all i can say he is a big ahole you know what he did. eddie said something about the flashes on camera last night at the show. everyone had their cameras and flash on it was like the paparazie) so this idiot comes to me and askes for my camera. he took my batteries which was fine i didnt care so i come home to find all my photos of my friends wedding seattle trip and videos of evenflow are freaking DELETED from my camera. he had no right to do that. if i see him again at lolla i will raise hell and i dont care if i get kicked out. after ed said no flash i put my camera away and that idiot asked for mine. he had no right. im wondering if this guy is the vics security or ed security. anyway its the guy who by the fence with ed walking in this fans photo. i hope i see him at lolla. i copied the picture and will look around for him and my friend is friends with the manager at the vic. i will call and complain. if ed doesnt want flash dont have cameras allowed at shows. i dont get it. pj should understand without flash photos dont come out. i know it bothers there eyes but oh well they should be used to it by now. anyway other than that the show was wonderful!!!!!!!!!!! good show. i was happy with everything at the show except for the camera thing and the security was horrible how they handled things.
That's Ed's regular security guard-have seen him a bunch of times over the last couple years
...And he who forgets will be destined to remember.

...I swear I never took it for granted. Just thought of it now.
  • So cool-how many other people can say they met the entire band or most of it, anyway? Some people have only met one or two of them and most people will never be lucky enough to have that experience. You look like you can hardly contain yourself! Thanks for sharing

  • Hey there

I was back there with you guys for the Ed meeting too. I was the girl with the Red tanktop, dragging her suitcase. (I had been storing it in darkstars car during the show and had just retrieved it).

I think we were talking cause I remember seeing your pics before Ed came out. I was soo excited when Ed started walking towards us. I didn't hear JT tell us no pictures or autographs so I grabbed my half a setlist, sharpie and camera. When I got up there I saw you all just shaking his hand and talking so I didn't ask Ed for anything...just shook his hand and said "hi Ed...amazing show tonight...thank you." He seemed to be in a bit of a hurry so I didn't say any more.
Those pics you took were sweet!!!

Btw Ben Harper came out and got into a limo. He waved at us before he climbed in tho. I think he was a little lit. Someone told me he was before he got onstage. I couldn't really tell either way...although he was singing a little out of tune during his verse so that might have been the reason why. Still sounded GREAT tho.

Wait a sec; I'm trying to figure something out...when you met them before the show did you tell them you didn't have tickets?

Look at it this way. YOU got to meet THEM. I would rather experience what you did, than see that show. Sounds crazy, but that would mean more to me than any show.

Meeting them is definitely the next best thing to seeing the show. When I think of the lengths I've gone to to meet them, and never been successful. Man, you are lucky! Not only did you meet and talk to them, but they obliged with having their photos taken with you too. Some people have all the luck!

Yes, we told them we didn't have tickets, but they said it was just too hard that night, and they couldn't even get everyone in that they wanted to (which I'm not sure if they were just saying that to be polite, but whatever).
  • Wow cool, congratulations on meeting them. :)
