Got to meet the guys at the Vic

Well, I was one of the unfortunate souls who didn't get a Vic ticket. But, I only live about 10 blocks from there so I decided to give it a shot anyway. I stood outside like an idiot trying to get tickets for hours...all to no avail. I met some other fine Ten Club members and we decided we had a better shot hanging out in the back alley and trying to slip in or bribe a security guard or something (ha, we didn't really think it would work, but it was better than nothing). Anyway, after about an hour of standing around back there, and an hour before show time, a security guard walked through and said that the guys were about to come through. So I'm thinking they're going to drive by in a van or something and I might be able to catch a glimpse, but about a minute later I look down and Matt, Mike, Stone, and some guards are walking right towards us! They all just walk by and say hi and whatnot on their way to the food room, which was just down the alley. Then, Boom comes walking by for the same thing. They all came back by one or two at a time to go back to the theatre, and they all stopped and talked to us and took pictures with us for a couple minutes (there were only about 8 of us back there). Anyway, they were all just as cool as I could have expected them to be...super nice guys. Well, I was on cloud 9 at that point and would have been perfectly happy with that. But, we decided to stick around during the show and after the show, after we talked to Ed's driver for about two hours (Abe, you're the man!). After hours and hours of standing back there, I decided I was going to leave because I figured it wasn't worth standing around forever to see Ed in a van with tinted windows drive by (as was the case with all the other guys, who had already left) and not even be able to see him. I kinda felt like an idiot as it was standing around the alley waiting...like a tenny bopper or something. Well, right as I said my goodbyes and starting walking away, I saw Abe (the driver) get into a van and start backing down the alley. So I figured well, maybe I should go back...what's another 10 minutes? Low and behold, As I'm walking back to the group of 15 or so that are standing in the alley hoping to get a glimpse of Ed...I look down and here comes Ed walking down the alley! He talked to all of us for a minute or two, shook our hands, and then said bye and walked away and got in the van and left. I was honestly impressed at how cool the guys were, I've never met any of them until yesterday, but they were as cool, if not cooler, as I always pictured them being. Anyway, for not getting into the show, it turned out to be a pretty awesome night!

And you are looking great for your age, Uncle Neil!!!
Where I'm not ugly and you're lookin' at me
How cute is Boom????
Glad you had a great time.
And I don't feel right when you're gone away
I was on the side of the stage for San Fran 2 and 3 and I could see his gf and little girl watching the show. I might be wrong but I think someone was trying to teach her metal horns there too!
Look at it this way. YOU got to meet THEM. I would rather experience what you did, than see that show. Sounds crazy, but that would mean more to me than any show.

Lol Boom's cool. I met him in 2003 in Brisbane, and he was the same way, pointing out our tour shirts, and gave us our props for recognising him.
