  • Congratulations, that is so awesome. I'm glad so see that something that incredible happened to someone that couldn't get in the Vic; that would mean more to me than getting in, too.

You are one hell of a lucky guy Neil! Good for you! I would def. prefer meeting the guys in person to going to the concert.

  • thanks for sharing all the details - great little story and seems like you had more fun and now more memories to keep.

and yes some of my best shots are without flash - "natural" light is always best....and they don't disturb the band...(get it?)

I honestly still can't believe it happened! Ed didn't come out until about 12:30 or so...he was the last one to leave. I hope everyone on here gets the experience that I had yesterday, it was truly incredible. I told both Matt and Stone it was a pleasure to meet them and they both had the same response..."It's a pleasure to meet YOU!" Ha, classic. I literally woke up this morning and had a smile on my face the whole way to work, and then I told pretty much everyone in the office all about it. I seriously feel like a little school girl!

Haha, if only I was lucky enough to be related to Matt! Yeah, it was a pretty big honor to meet them, but after hearing that setlist that they played, I'm still upset I didn't get in to the show!

You look so happy... especially in the pic with Matt :)
... and the will to show I will always be better than before.
  • these are great pictures, and agree with everyone here that it makes it
even better that you look so happy in them.
So there was no Jeff sightings at all?!!!
That would have been just TOO much to handle i think.
This is a once in a lifetime experience you got...you met almost the ENTIRE
BAND at ONE time...thats amazing... you had some great Karma working for you that day :)

No Jeff, didn't even catch a glimpse of him. But, I don't think I can complain! It's funny how everyone says I look so happy...I was trying my hardest to be cool and contain myself. Ha, guess it leaked out just a little.

Hahaha! I was with you guys in the alley the whole time... right up until the time I made it into the show. I'm the one that went to get Dunkin' Donuts for everyone, only to come back and realize that I had missed all the band walking by (the first time)

I'm the lucky bastard in the hat in your photo here:

Very glad you guys got to meet Ed after the show. That's fucking sweet! It was great meeting all you guys, and hanging out. Definitely glad this happened to you guys. Wish I would have found you after the show to fill you in (and vice versa).

all i can say he is a big ahole you know what he did. eddie said something about the flashes on camera last night at the show. everyone had their cameras and flash on it was like the paparazie) so this idiot comes to me and askes for my camera. he took my batteries which was fine i didnt care so i come home to find all my photos of my friends wedding seattle trip and videos of evenflow are freaking DELETED from my camera. he had no right to do that. if i see him again at lolla i will raise hell and i dont care if i get kicked out. after ed said no flash i put my camera away and that idiot asked for mine. he had no right. im wondering if this guy is the vics security or ed security. anyway its the guy who by the fence with ed walking in this fans photo. i hope i see him at lolla. i copied the picture and will look around for him and my friend is friends with the manager at the vic. i will call and complain. if ed doesnt want flash dont have cameras allowed at shows. i dont get it. pj should understand without flash photos dont come out. i know it bothers there eyes but oh well they should be used to it by now. anyway other than that the show was wonderful!!!!!!!!!!! good show. i was happy with everything at the show except for the camera thing and the security was horrible how they handled things.

The band's performance should be effected just so you can use a flash?

    A bit selfish, eh?
  • we saw ed's girlfriend and daughter head down the alley just as we were walking by to head in. he is a lucky man.

they were up in the balcony and it looked like his little girl was really rocking out. my gf and i caught a glipmse and it looked like someone was teaching her to make the heavy metal horns. hysterical.

He seemed to be singing to her at the beginning of Inside Job; maybe that's her fav off the Avocado or something since it is really Mike's tune.

An amazing story with photos to boot! I met some fans after the Asheville, NC Vote For Change show who had done the same (met the band after the show). I was envious then. I'm even more so now. Does anyone have a photo of Ed's gf and/or daughter? (Not necessarily from last night). I've never seen pictures of them.

Funny story about this picture, we both asked Mike for a picture and he's like "yeah sure I'll get in on the threesome...but I'm not sure if my wife would like it. Oh wait, it's a threesome with all dudes...so can she still get mad about that?"...or something like that. That's what he was saying when they took the picture...which is why is looks like he's talking.

I got a dark video of them waving over the balcony... I didnt want to bother them and be disrespectful. Could have taken pics when they were right by me but thats kinda frowned upon.
