I cannot find the words to describe how perfect tonight's show was! I know I wrote this already today (for Berlin 's concert) but I have to say it was exceptional for so many reasons! First of all I was with my friend with whom we had been planning this for so long and then I also met so many kind people around me! I was at the second row, stone's side and everybody in front and behind me were so protective. The security crew, too. It was not packed at all. The band were so relaxed and they were having a great time. Stone was smiling at us every time we cheered him! The shoe joke was hilarious! Eddie was super sweet with this girl in particular, lucky her!
And then they played U!!!! I couldn't believe I'd ever hear this song live back when I was picking a nickname for this forum, lol! Green disease, also! I didn't ever dare to put it in my dream list! And Oceans mixed at the end of the list...I kept wondering: what else could happen tonight? Couldn't ask for more. And when they hit Baba, oh, I screamed the s***t out of it!
I was very close to getting either a pick or a tambourine but well, my friend got a pick and the girl next to me the tambourine, but I was super happy anyways!
Before the show I was freezing cold outside and I decided I would never do such a crazy thing again. Now I'm thinking: I won't do without it ;-)
I will never be able to thank the band enough...they are so great and we are so happy to be involved into this whole thing. Love you all, bye bye!

oh, and the shoe thing was so awesome... how did the "Shoe the Shoeless" comment not get noted in the initial post?? It was all I could do to keep my shoes off the stage.

(Also, I wanted Release to start the show soooo badly... Heaven.)

I kept thinking the same thing! "Shoe The Shoeless!"
I was alone and far away when I heard the band start playing!

...I was always a DeadHead, but when I first heard Winston Rodney, aka the Burning Spear, sing, I became a SpearHead too!

I have last seen PJ in Stockholm. 14 years ago. I wish to see them live again soon

What a great show! Finally i got a pick from Mike! Eddie had a party time last nite, how much vine was it? Hope he kept his voice for Oslo. Last time they played Sweden he was partying hard too, and his voice was not the best for Oslo. What is it with Eddie and Sweden?

No, the knee is fully healed and he's back to running around the stage and swinging the globes.

You could see it was not fully healed.

Why are the swedish shows so Ten centric?

Lets go - in full euphoria

    5/5

Eddie vedder shines in pearl jams success.

Time to make it a tradition of historical summerconcerts with pearl jam. The genuine relationship of love between the fans and the seattle bands intense joy of playing belongs more and more at the next generation of Ullevi-experiences (Ullevi being an arena in gothenburg which has been legendary due to a string of bruce springsteen concerts which turned the city and country into a frenzy)

"we talked about it afterwards. It was one of those rare nights where we went and and everything just worked. When the band and the fans were one. That, for sure doesnt happen every night".

In an interview with aftonbladet before tonightd show guitarrist stone gossard remembers their last visit to Sweden. The concert that fellow journalist markus larsson gave 5/5 plus.

    Nothing stops the fans
Tonight, two things are different. Then, pearl jam hadn't visited Sweden i 12 years and built up an ocean of anticipation with the loyal fans. Now, the arena is also different, bigger and with a history of bad sound. But no soccer world cup or Bråvalla festival or other summer activites can stop. earl Jams fans. With almost 10.000 more in the room than last time, a newly built arena that suddenly is sounding better than ever and a band that seems to want to make everything to make this as good as last time is their visit to Solna an almost 3h long exibition.(poorly worded)

Thats the beginning at least. My train is pulling in :-)
