Oh how nice to see Mathilda! Greetings to her! What were her thoughts about the concert? How did she manage to wait so long? Maybe one day I'll bring my kids... They've seen only KISS so far. :)

I don't see a link to this, almost the whole show is on youtube https://youtube.com/watch?v=gO1_H98mzJI&list=LLQkviYIs0rubMP5eL51cFMQ

I haven't yet come down from the two gig high... All I can think, all I can listen to, is Pearl Jam...

It was my 3 Pearl Jam concert and second one in Berlin. It was superawesome, rocking in second row in front of Stone. Made friends with Magdalini, great experience! Here're some of my pics. Analog camera this time

Ok reading all these nice comments and show reviews I would like to share our experience!
It was the 4th time we have been to a PJ concert and the 2nd of the euro tour. Amsterdam II was special in 2012 but Berlin, that is a whole different planet...

We enjoyed Berlin for a few days and got some of the local culture and history of Berlin and Germany. Great vibe in the city and it felt like home (living in the Netherlands)

Walking up to the area, picking up tickets and meeting up with people was all so relaxed that after around 15:00 in the afternoon we already had a great feeling and we said to each other that this would be a special one. The vibe was so relaxed. Getting in line, gates open early and then waiting to get in (everybody had to go to the 2 dixies... :-)

Then sitting about 5 meters from the center right in front of Eddie and waiting for the start of the show. Talked to a lot of dutch people, meet up with some others and still waiting. All so relaxed and great! Waiting for the start of the show; I think we moved back about 5 meters within the first 2 songs and by song nr 4 we were 15 meters from the stage. At some point we were right in the middle of a mosh pit and loved it. Some guys from france, new zealand and germany. Sometimes joining in and sometimes making sure we were not in. Great vibe over here, enough room to stand and perfect view on the stage. Sometimes looking around and seeing all the people standing, singing, waving their hands. What an energy!

Last half hour we went upstairs to see it from the top, walked down to the middle of the stairs and enjoyed the last part of the show. The vibe, people atmosphere and location, I am getting goose bumps just typing this; We LOVE IT! Then rocking in the free world. I never liked this song, it's just not my cup of tea. But in Berlin, with the history lessons we had during the week, the wall, war and everything we watched in Berlin it really hit me.

We looked at each other and had a moment of total freedom. The whole show build up to this moment and it just got together in every sense. It was just overwhelming at that moment and made us realize that we keep rocking in a free world.

At this moment; we would like to go back it was the BEST! We are still living on a cloud at this moment and almost bought tickets for the UK but we both think it will never be as good as Berlin.. So keeping the memory and watching all those video's and listening to songs of PJ. It will take some weeks before we are back on earth again.

This was the third and last show I saw in Europe (Trieste and Vienna prior) and I think Berlin was my favorite! The venue was great, the people were all so nice and friendly, everywhere I looked everyone was just having a great time and singing along...it was wonderful!

I want to thank the two guys we met from Norway (one was named Tom) and two from Chicago (one was named Eric) that my friend and I (two girls from the US...NJ to be exact) met after the concert trying to get back to the city center. If you guys see this THANK YOU SO MUCH! We were having trouble getting back and they made sure we got back safely, it is much appreciated!

  • This was the show out of my 5 I was initially not going to do. I'm glad I changed my mind. I have read a lot of things about this venue on these boards over the years but you really have to experience it to get it. I wondered how the show could top Vienna and in the end I don't think it did but what a great place to watch the band perform. You can tell why they love playing here. Tried to get to the venue as quickly as possible after checking into my hotel. I wanted to have a few hours soaking up the place before heading in to the actual venue. It feels so secluded as you approach the venue and walking up the path you could feel yourself relax as there was such a chilled vibe.

We took a spot on Mike's side in the seating are and had a great view. It is great you can just sit where you want without been ushered to where someone would like you to sit. There was a relaxed atmosphere throughout the whole place even when it got busy inside. Even the Merch and beer stand felt easy-going.

My 12th show and it was an incredible set. The band seemed relaxed and where having a lot of fun. Highlights were All Those Yesterdays, Sleight of Hand and Crazy Mary but that is just picking a few of many. You Are was great to hear especially as I remembered it been a request from here. (is it been a bit picky wishing he would go back to singing 'You are a tower of strength to me' - maybe, but I love that line)

Great memories of the night and I got some decent pics on my phone. I like to see the band in different cities each tour as I like to get to see new places but I think I would make the exception for Wuhlheide. I would recommend it to anyone.

I agree with Dimi. I was so happy to be able to make it to the show, and was especially excited to go there with my American hubs. Fingers crossed we can make it there again next time.

I also agree with diamond_marmalade saying that it was so cool to just sit where you wanted, together with friends. I think this made this one show the best I have been to so far. Well, and You Are being played :D

I shared the taxi from metro with 2 guys in their early 20's, from Faroe Islands.

They were fired up, they said they've been waiting for this show for 2 years. Apparently was their first.

Taxi left us far away from the buhne, so we had to walk like 10 minutes. We talked a bit, the guys haven't heard about 10-club nor the "Lost Dogs" record nor the bootlegs.

I told them whatever passion they had at the moment, would get doubled after the show. It is so refreshing to see the excitement of new generation for PJ music.

They wanted to be as close to the stage as possible. I tried to assure them it is possible.
What's your part, who you are?
