No, I'm not caught up in that. I have already made it clear that I don't agree with any unnecessary hunting of wild animals. I only meant that it's not "natural" hunting on the part of humans unless they aren't using modern technology to do it. That doesn't mean I think it's okay for someone this day and age to go out and do it. That would still be the unnecessary killing of the animals because of the times we live in.
Also, I already FULLY acknowledged and described by hypocrisies when it comes to this subject, as well as my thoughts on the environmental impact of agriculture.
I am pretty sure I have literally left no stone uncovered while I've been discussing this topic. If you've forgotten and still give a shit, maybe read them again. ;)

omg it's like they're just throwing their hands in the air and giving up...like it's impossible to do anything at all. I'm stunned. This can't be happening.

I saw a post about this on Facebook this morning.  Personally I don't believe it.  One there were no windows blown out on the 4th floor and the video i saw it looked like a reflection of the actual gunfire.

Flashing lights aren't exactly a rarity on the Vegas strip.

Yeah, the hotel is one big mirror, and only one window was broken. This little facebook theory seems impossible.

Actually he broke out two windows in his room but again nothing on the 4th floor.  Agreed that it seems like just another FB conspiracy theory.

instead of asking them if there should be metal detectors at casino entrances maybe the question should have been you know 'why do we allow guns made for war to be sold to private citizens?"

second question should have been to quote Masters of War "is your money that good?'" when referring to how much they take from the NRA.

Rosanne Cash says that the “N.R.A. funds domestic terrorism.”
I hope more activists join her.

Even to say they fund domestic terrorism is ridiculous.
I heard on the news this morning that this guy in vegas was a millionaire, he didnt need any funds.
To claim the NRA "funds" these people would imply they physically supply them with weapons.
They dont. You could argue they make it easier for domestic terrorism, I would listen to that argument. But the minute you say they are funded by the NRA I put you in the crazy loon radical box and ignore everything else you say.
Granted I haven't read that article so I don't know what context it was in, but if she suggests the NRA does anything more than make it difficult pass laws then she goes in that box. If that is what she meant then there's a hundred better ways to phrase that more clearly than to say they "fund" terrorism, and at best is a very poor choice of words.

I'm not anti-hand gun but I have a hard time believing the NRA actually cares about any of these victims.  I know you do, but the NRA certainly doesn't.   In my opinion.  The guy bought 36 guns in the last 12 months.  The NRA fights for that right.  It is obscene.

I agree, what a joke...You may not agree with the rights that the NRA aligns with, but to say they “fund domestic terrorism” is a stretch.

I've never even heard of a range that requires NRA membership. I would imagine that is pretty rare.

Yeah, I don’t think i’ve run across any of those either. Maybe it is specifically owned by the NRA?

Like I said, private range, not a public one.  I'd still be a NRA member even if I didn't belong to this range.

Well it's a stretch because they don't fund it directly... do they even fund it at all? I would say that they purposefully work to support the ease with which people can carry out domestic terrorism. And yeah, they fund that, and lobby for it very successfully... in part by paying off politicians, which I would also consider corrupt TBH, but I know it's commonplace. I don't see how that could be argued against. I've got to admit I'm a little bit taken aback to know that anyone here is actually a member of the fucking NRA, given everything they do. They are a really twisted bunch, and they play dirty politics.

The only issue I have is "purposefully work to support the ease with which people can carry out domestic terrorism." That to me that sounds like you're implying their goal is to intentionally make it easier for terrorism. I don't think anyone has any reason to believe they want to make it easier for terrorists. I wouldn't argue against that the rights they fight for do make it easier for domestic terrorists like this last shooter, but in no way do I think that is their goal. And to purposefully chose the word "fund" would definitely imply they are in support of such acts.
I'm not a member, but my dad is. He joined in the 60s or 70s when it was a difference beast. It was a one time lifetime membership I think, and did it to get discounts into gun shows and such, not as much the politics of it.

Not the best analogy. You're funding lobbyists whose job is to block any gun control legislation.

I can see why you read it like that, but that's not exactly what I mean... however... it kinda is anyway. I mean, that is not their goal, but they know as well as any of us that what they do DOES do that... So really, how departed from that can we really say they are?? Not at all, IMO. It's not that they want to do that... but they don't care if they do, and at the end of the day, what's the difference, really?
(PS - I am taken aback by people here being members and anyone being a member, actually. But I wasn't implying that just regular members are funding terrorism. I don't think of random members from where ever who like the gun range and gun show are one in the same as the actual organization... However, their being members isn't helping any! Everyone is playing a part, that can't really be denied)

I hope more activists join her.
So I fund domestic terrorism since I am a NRA member?  That s a pretty assinine statement by rosanne cash.

I knew you owend weapons but didn't realize your a member damn so you pay to be a member that means you contribute to the organization no ? not that Rosanne is correct but still ....
Yeah the range I belongs to requires me to be a member. But to suggest that NRA members support domestic terrorism is really dumb. Thatcsclijecsaying I am pro oil spills since I invest in Exxon.
Not the best analogy. You're funding lobbyists whose job is to block any gun control legislation.
Yeah I've had better.  I got a sick four year old hanging on my shoulder so I'm not 100% lol.
Ah i hope the kid feels better soon !
