2015 PJ Predictions

My comment was about a Canadian tour, of which there have only ever been two - 2005 and 2011.GardLivingston89 said:
Dont get what you mean second one ever? Theres been 5 since 2000. 2000, 2003, 2005, 2009 and 2011. The longest theyve gone has been 4 years from 2005 to 2009. So unless there switching things up Torontos due for a show in 2015. Only issue I can think of is that we had London last year but I dont feel everyone got to go that would of liked to and they have a pretty big market in Toronto. To put out a album and not play there. I dont know it would be kind of stupid.BeerBaron said:Not sure why everyone thinks there will be a Canadian tour soon? Because Toronto got skipped on the LB tour?
As much as I would love one in 2015, I highly doubt there will be one. They just did one in 2011 and it was only their second one EVER.
If you are talking about tours where they have played shows in Canada, you are correct there are many more.
I think we are talking about two completely different things here...

PJ has to do more of Canada on Lightning Bolt. They skipped Edmonton, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, Toronto, Ottawa, east coast, etc.
If they play in Halifax and/or Newfoundland (my home) I will fly back east to see multiple shows. I just want another Edmonton show (where I live currently)0 -
I can see them remaining pretty active, I don't understand why so many feel there will be a year off. Everything we heard when LB was released was the band loved working together again and would look to continue that, and Ed seems more driven than ever to stay busy
when did they last take a year off?
0 -
I wouldnt call it a year off... maybe just a decompression year where they do other stuff, keep fresh, and maybe a few festival shows.
Then 2016 would be a PJ25 year where we could see a big event, hopefully and a couple tours.
Best case is they hit the studio in 2015, pump out a release for 2016, R&RHOF, PJ25, and touring to back the album.0 -
How about getting together and making another record? Five years is a crazy amount of time between albums.0

While PJ would actually class up the Super Bowl, I have to second the "no" vote on that! The halftime show is a choreographed conglomerate of acts that have nothing to do with each other, pyrotechnics, giant flags, and girls twirling ribbons. I certainly cannot (nor want to) see PJ sharing a stage with Bruno Mars and Cher while the 2015 Juilliard class dances on the field.WhatYouTaughtMe said:

I agree that it will be a few one offs (the Gorge?!) and plenty of side projects. Which is cool. I'm really into another destination show somewhere (Missoula was 2012, Wrigley was 2013... What's next?? :-? ), am excited about another RNDM tour (although that might be end of 2014), and I still haven't seen EV solo yet. Hoping for all those things in 2015!With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. ~ Desiderata0

I'm pretty sure they're eligible in 2015. I read something in rolling stone about how the hall of fame was going to have a headache next year determining which drummers to indict.

I dont feel this should mean anything not everyone can travel that far without having to get a hotel and what not alot of people would like them to be close enough they can drive home after and buffalo and detroit arent doing that for me. I think they will be coming to Toronto next year no doubt. Everyone was pretty set on them coming in May or on this fall tour. Why not 2015?BeerBaron said:

London, Buffalo, and Detroit pretty much gives Toronto fans nice opportunity. Not to mention 2x in 2011 plus Hamilton...
Plus they just hit Calgary and Vancouver in '13
They havent taken much of a break in over 10 years why start now? Its there job to do concerts and make music. Might as well keep going till mainly everyone gets a show from the Lightning Bolt album.Post edited by GardLivingston89 on0 -
