If they weren’t gonna switch to the vault being included, a basic universal membership is the best thing.

Pearl Jam keeping up with the economy.

    New membership starting 1/1/23 - one level only - $35 a year

Analog was somewhat useless at this point, so it was only a matter of time until the combined the two

DEEP magazine will be discontinued at the end of 2022. 2020-2022 members will receive the applicable DEEP magazines when they are available. :(

  • Does this mean they are getting rid of the analog gift and making everything for purchase at a “Ten Club” discount? 🤔

I wonder what % of people are in 10C solely for this below and don’t care at all about any of the other stuff (I’m one of them)

The easy way out would have been to keep the $40, but include two songs from the (say) 2024 vault on the 2023 single.

But it's not easy to produce tens of thousands of records and have them all shipped out...and then dingbats don't update their address AND complain they don't get anything in years.

Membership Items (NEW) - Specially priced members-only annual merchandise items. All members will be able to select and purchase their items at a steeply discounted price.

    Ok. It's a little confusing

Are "annual merchandise items" essentially the shirts or whatever else that analog members have been getting? Then it goes on to say "their items at a..." which implies it's other items.

I am mainly a member for tickets.  Been getting great seats since the 90s.  I also like having forum access.

Free item is gone. You will now pay a "steeply discounted price" for it. At least that's how I read it.

Yep. Tickets and the community are the two biggest draws for me.

Yes! It’s totally about the live act and the tickets!

Very sad to see Deep magazine go the way of the single. The last one on the recording of gigaton was awesome.

Maybe they can add an upper tier membership level for $100 a year that gives you 6 months heads up for tour announcements, so you can, like, actually have time to plan out going to shows, like you can do with most other large acts

Yah, I was in it for the Christmas Single and access to tickets.  One the Christmas singles wrapped up I switched to digital because I don't really use the download codes (I think it's a bit mean they only work for mp3, and you have to pay to upgrade to flac), never wore the shirts, and what not.

$35 for ticket access and the right to buy merch.  Makes it feel a bit more like other bands fan clubs where you pay a premium just for ticket access.

I still find it odd Metallica basically does the same thing and it's free.  When Metallica switch to digital memberships (no more hard copy of the fan club magazine) they made the fan club free.   I get free presale access to every tour (and front of the line because I was a paying member).    I think Metallica Fan Club is well run and inexpensive :)

Pitching us on paying for access to merch is the lamest move this band has made in its existence
