Oh I'm soooo jealous . Last summer a few days when I couldn't face the bus in that heat, I got the train to the beach and sat there for a couple of hours... it was lovely. Plus, we have another site not too far from Lansdowne and I get on great with the girl there so I could meet up with her for lunch.
Oh I really hope I get it . The woman who KINDA has a say in where people go, her husband worked here for a while and thinks I'm brilliant AND they were at my table at the christmas party so I get on really well with her

She DID ring him... and I asked him about holidays (we have to take builders holidays, a week for easter and two at the end of July - I want to work through easter and take only one week in July, allowing me the two weeks off in June) and he said 'there's none' with a grin on his face and I asked what he meant and he said the site would be closed for easter :( and then he said that she'd rang him about when I'd be finishing up and he said 'I told her I don't knwo and that you've a load of filing to finish up here' :mad: and then ran out the door. I'm fucking fuming... I need to go out for lunch cos if he comes in the canteen I... well I dunno what but I'm not happy... what a fucking prick.

well I've calmed down a bit. There may be ways around it, I spoke to one of the other girls and she suggested I find out if any of the other secretaries are taking the Easter holidays, they may need someone to fill in for them as this is done all the time. So then I wouldn't be taking holidays. I mean, I HAVE to take the two weeks in June anyway, I'll be able to afford to take them at my own expense and I WILL be taking them, but surely it's not in the company's best interest to have me taking 5 weeks instead of 3 for the summer?
