Midlake!! I gave them a chance listening to about 3 weeks ago.. just by complete luck, then i see them on Uncut and they are mentioned by about 13 famous folks as Album of the Year...

so i went onto Itunes and listened to 30secs of each song (thats all they allow... but its a good way of testing out new stuff)

beautiful stuff dave... its on my xmas list (i.e. I'll buy it with vouchers i'll probably get :D )

ya, after having the worst time in an airport that ive ever had, i now have the biggest hate for england security in the world, they are the slowest most foolish idiots on this planet, they are incapable of scanning more than one bag, so i couldnt take the normal carry on and my laptop, i could only do one or the other.

    idiots

hate the english, those i met up with and stayed with excluded.

time to sleep on the plane, might be the only sleep i have in a long time

Only one piece of cabin baggage is the rule for all airports in the UK since the security alerts in August. Having never taken a laptop don't know if a cabin bag and laptop was allowed before this.

im being converted to a hater rather than a lover.

and its ridiculous, even the states isnt that ridiculously stupid.

and what i find funnier is that u can come into the country with 2 bags but not leave, cause other countries are smarter, faster and more efficient than the english. thank some sort of higher establishment that the world is not foolish.

I had the same crap going through Stansted a couple of weeks ago. This silly cow told me to see if my shoulder bag would fit into this plastic measuring thingy to see if it was too big, and it was just over. lthough she was allowing loads of people to wlak through with much bigger trolley bags. It was 6am and she wouldn't stop nattering in my ear as I was taking some essential stuff out of my bag. I thought my head was gonna explode. I finally looked up at her and simply said "Please stop talking!"
That seemed to do the trick.
I know how you feel though. The fuckers try to make it all as frustrating and stressful as they can for you.
