Our tree will be going up this week-end. A bit disappointed this year though... We ALWAYS have big real ones but this year, because of the kittens who climb all over the place (and because we won't be here a few days over Christmas and therefore can't keep an eye on them), we have to resort to a smaller fake one :( But on the bright side for G., she got the black, gothy baubles she wanted. Rob can't deal with all black so G will be adding red and a few silver baubles...... Black and silver tinsel. Hmmmmm..... different..... but we did tell her she could decorate it the way she wanted. We usually go for purples, last year G did what she wanted and we had red and gold (she decided we needed 'proper' tacky christmas colours!) Oh well... as long as there's prezzies under it!

Yeah its mad...thats her favourite word at the moment...LIGHTS.....she's fascinated by them. Took her to Homebase the other day and she was just in her element in the lighting section. Wasn't too fussed on the tree until the lights went on.....man I'm getting excited about xmas
I like Tacky christmas and am very proud of my flashing multi coloured lights (reminds me of my 70's childhood xmas) with tinsel and crapy home made decorations on the tree :D:D:D

I've always wondered where Santa gets all the pressies from. There must be a gigantic warehouse in Lapland where he keeps all this shit. Maybe that's why there's a hole in the Ozone layer up there? And who pays for all that Reindeer feed? Is that why taxes are so high in Finland? :eek:

Cool! Helsinki's a cool city. Check out Molly Malones pub. There's live music there every day. It's a stones throw from the main train station.
