    Yeah... I guess I've been a bit of a stranger :(

Had a MASSIVE deadline this morning, so I am now a bit more free to waste time and talk shit :P

    How's you?

I'm so glad about this. Was worried about the not having a mobile after check in for coordination next week. Letting people know if plane was delayed etc :D

One worry about the trip gone! EDIT: I'm flying from Heathrow so we still have restrictions :(

Also if I remember correctly from the schedules thread we land at more or less the same time don't we?

Yeah, for Heathrow it's still in effect unti 4.30am tomorrow. I'm flying from Stansted tomorrow anyway at 7am. I'm going to small town Germany and staying with the in-laws. I really wanted to bring my laptop for work and entertainment reasons, but no way was I going to check it. So I'm relieved and will be able to be utilise my time now.

And yeah, I think you arrive at the airport a little bit before me. I'm due in at 10.50, God willing. I think we're the only ones in at that time, if there was another person or 2 a taxi would be a good deal. As it is, bussing would probably be the best bet. Are you going to check in at where ever you're staying from the airport?

Yeah we need a couple more to arrive at a similar time.

I'm going to go and drop my bag off. See you were talking about possibly booking a room. Know there are lot of people at Jury's Inn. Myself, VV and LouDoubleU are booked into a youth hostel that works out at about £9 when we booked if you want the info.
So are we strangers now? Like rock and roll and the radio?

I'd better sort some kind of accommodation out!!! What was the hostel?

    Hey!!
Check this website out. It's a forum thngy which looks to be derived from the same basic configuration as our own, BUT with loads of cool smilies. Click on the smilies link and see what these geeks get compared to what we get. I e-mailed Kat yesterday asking if we can have all of these smilies too, but haven't heard back from her yet.

(And yes, I'm bored! )

    Edit:Whoops! Double post!

I especially like the 'ASSHOLE' smilie. That would be very popular on the Moving Train.

I think being a stranger around here means you have a life! :o

I'm fine, now, was at wedding on Friday, everyone staying in the hotel where the reception took place. First glass of sparkling rose at about 2pm, in the bar doing shots at 1.30am (when I left for bed) some still going at 3.30am. It wasn't pretty :o I still feel like I could do with an extra couple of hours kip.

Jury's Inn looks pretty pricey and I'm looking to get by as cheaply as possible... especially since I won't actually be using the room for all that long. Any helpful info would be appreciated though :-)

I don't know if we'll hear from many other people before the day now... if you'd want to meet up at the airport, I'd be happy to have the company but don't feel obligated. I'd totally understand not wanting to stick around an airport longer than necessary.

  • Open Water is based on a true story - but I'm not sure how much emphasis is on the word 'based'. Basically yeh, they got left behind... and they died... but nobody can tell what really happened in between. It's actually very good though and the acting's great.

Yep, he is pretty beautiful - there aren't enough close ups though, lol :o

The next edition of Channel 4's Alive series looks to have a very similar premise to Open Water. It's a great show though has you wincing at times!

Congratulations on the new job Emmi.

What is Alive??? I'm really interested in sharks - did a shark dive in South Africa a couple of years back and while I love the creatures they scare the shite out of me... actually 'love' isn't really the right word, ya can't love a big killing machine like that, but I think fearfully respect is more apt... ya have to respect something which humans don't have a chance against.

Check out the first page and arrival times... Since you're checking in the airport hotel (?) you could be the welcoming committee for all! Make sure your room is well stocked in liquids!

There's a few of us meeting at about 1:30pm in the airport bar before heading to Temple Bar.

Alive is a show which has been on channel 4 on Sunday nights for the last few weeks.

Each week is based on a true story and it's a reconstruction and interview with someone who survived in extreme circumstances. The first was based in the snow, the 2nd about how a guy survived for other month in the rainforest and last nights was about a guy who crashed a microlite in the middle of the desert....they're really good.

Yeah, I think you have to respect sharks or indeed any fearsome animals. They may be deadly but theres also something incredibly beautiful about them, the way they move, they way they hunt etc. I love my animal....in the appropriate way
