Is that where they keep you? In your attic!! Do you get thrown a piece of stale bread and a bowl of water every once in a while??:D

It's were I hide! The stairs are very narrow and David hates coming up here cos his feet are too big - so it's my space where I run to when he's annoying me!! :D

It's a very nice space though - two skylights looking up to the clouds - a huge sofa bed to relax on, my meditation corner (sad I know) my books, my cds, my computer, my photos - all blue; jade and white - all for moi! And for some of the Astorian crew to kip on after the summer bbq (if we ever get the house finished!)

We finally confirmed the wedding date today - Thursday 9th August 2007! Followed by a post-wedding celebration piss up in Dublin on Saturday 11th for all those who are interested! After we booked Davids little brother (he's 21) hugged me and said "I'm really sorry - you're so nice!" See, I'm the poor victim in this whole affair!!! :D

My wife and I are heading out for the show... looking forward to the trip on so many levels. Now i just need to read through 400 pages in this thread to find the best places to stay.. not to mention the best pubs to visit. Thinking of tagging on a few days before and after the show to visit other parts of Ireland or maybe the UK also.

Hello and welcome to the thread :)

I wouldn't read through all those pages for that info as we haven't really discussed it much :o

It is a bank holiday in Ireland today so you may want to wait until tomorrow when some of the Irish people may be able to help with hotel ideas.

They are also meant to be test driving pubs between now and August so we can arrange somewhere to meet before the gig but presume the Guinness museum will be on your list somewhere :D

... and of course you want to visit the UK :)
So are we strangers now? Like rock and roll and the radio?

Hey there :) . What kinda hotel are you looking for? Budget? Nice? Jurys is the Irish equivilent to holiday inn in Ireland and this one is a particularly great location for the concert:

    http://www.jurys-dublin-hotels.com/jurysinn_customshouse

However it's slightly out of the city centre and is really only great for those just staying for the concert. Rates are per room and usually have two double beds. If you're staying for a proper holiday, this one is in a great location:

    http://www.jurys-dublin-hotels.com/jurysinn_christchurch

    http://www.holidayinndublin.ie/

Here is a great site for finding hotels. Check the Temple Bar area and they seem cheap enough - 50euro each per night. Also, a key to booking places in Dublin is the postcode - Dublin 1 and Dublin 2 are the city centre (Dublin 2 being nicer cos it's the southside). Hope that's some help to ya. I don't know if I'm going to be around Dublin (apart from for the concert) so I'm afraid I can't offer my tour guide services :(
